Mine was Jan. 9th.
Does anyone know if there is an ASW? Or has anyone been to campus that can give an opinion on it?

The campus is beautiful. Is there anything specific you'd like to know?
The UR Campus is separated into what appears, in the middle of a city, to be a woodsy resort, lol. It is separate instead of embedded into the city. Because of this you rarely see anyone but students around. The buildings are an older style, and well kept. The walking paths are are quiet....really peaceful. The undergrad commons area, where the bookstore is, is built on a large lake....quite beautiful.
The law school is one building. Most of your classes will be held in that building, especially first year. There are several different types of study areas at varying levels of quiet study. In the library each student is issued a locked carrol for their own use, plus there are larger tables and group spaces to work.
The law common areas and moot courtroom were renovated just this past year.
I recommend visiting. It changed my mind completely last year.

The John Marshall applications tended to be rolling deadlines and recipients aren't chosen until April-ish.

Do you know how many they invite to apply and how many they award?crysmissmichelle wrote:The John Marshall applications tended to be rolling deadlines and recipients aren't chosen until April-ish.

They never tell a firm number, this year it appears to have been around 12. They also don't identify them during the first year....you only find out who they are if they tell you.
They invite a lot of people....it seems if you meet the numbers minimum, you get to apply.
I was a candidate for it but was not chosen.

Thanks! I am working on my essay now. It's due the 18th!
I used Google streetview last night to take a look at the campus. It looks very nice. I hope to visit on Feb.

I just got a postcard in the mail to save the date for Admitted Student Open House. There are two choices, March 23 or 30th (Fridays), 11:00-3:30. They will reimburse up to $200 for any visit to the school, not just open house, IF you matriculate at Richmond, so save receipts if you're serious about Richmond.EMH99 wrote:abbottsbar wrote:Is there a deadline for the John Marshall?

I visited back in 1997 when I was looking at Richmond for undergrad. What others have said about it being a pretty campus seems to go along with what I remember. I'm probably due for another look though, and specifically the law school.

I just visited from NY on Wednesday. Richmond was honestly an afterthought for me until I actually went to the school. There are no words to describe the atmosphere there.. everyone is beyond friendly and you really feel like you're in a community and that everyone is there to help you.. be warned it is extremely hard to not want to attend after visiting!milljp02 wrote:I just got a postcard in the mail to save the date for Admitted Student Open House. I agree! And the professors continue that even when you attend. It's not limited to admissions staff.

These people need to stop sending mail (before a decision letter)
The giant envelope with just a viewbook in it was totally uncool.

Have you gotten the phone call yet? That's how I found out first, the letter came about a week later.LawStudent89 wrote:+1laxbrah420 wrote:The people need to stop sending mail (before a decision letter)

I'm assuming we both haven't heard if we got in yet... That's why the giant envelope felt a bit uncool.stephinmd wrote:Have you gotten the phone call yet? I guess what I was trying to say is that if you know the phone call (seems to) comes first, then, don't let the mailings from them faze youLawStudent89 wrote:

I can't find any link to find the status of my application. Am I correct to assume Richmond doesn't have this feature?
