Richmond was your safety school with your numbers below the 25th for both GPA and LSAT??
It wasn't my safety when I applied but it became a backup when I got into Washington and lee two weeks ago

Ah ha, that makes sense. Best of luck to you for the rest of your cycle. Hopefully Richmond will throw some money your way.

I wish this school would quit spamming me with unnecessary brochures and send me a decision.

It doesn't end...I was accepted a few weeks ago and still get like postcards and brochures -- obviously I'm aware of Richmond's blossoming reputation or I wouldnt have applied! Haha

It's so deflating to keep receiving those letters and postcards and have NONE of them mention whether I got in or not.

I completely agree with you on the above. I've gotten I think 2 brochures and a big envelope, which I thought was maybe an acceptance packet, but no....just a large brochure about how great the school is.

For everyone who did get their decisions already, did you have your Dean's Certification forms completed already? Most of my classes I took either online or at night so I let them know that with an addendum, but for the like one semester of community college I took 12 yrs ago during the day, I guess I need the Deans Certification form. I'm wondering if that's what's holding up my decision? Any suggestions?

Those are not a requirement for admission. I was admitted back in December without them. The acceptance letter did note that my admission was conditioned on getting them done in a timely fashion (I think they want them before the end of March). Anything negative that would come up in those reports I'd already disclosed in my app, so there's no surprises when they finally do get done. I had 4 Dean's Certs to do (2 undergrads, a music school and one semester at a community college for a public speaking class). I recommend getting the ball rolling on those though, cause the CC and another school had no idea who the appropriate party was to direct it to. Whether you're in or not, you can get those forms done and sent in, but they're not holding you up.

Nah, a lack of a Dean's Cert won't affect anything. It's only an issue if you don't have one when it's time to matriculate.

I got an email from the dean the other day about attending this thing in my area where you pretend you are on admissions committee and judge applications. It is designed to help learn what adcoms want to see and make you build a stronger application as a result. I was really offended until I realized they had signed me up for this list for students who are planning to apply to law school later. In my mind it was more like, "wtf is this? This is a really shitty way of saying your application sucked, better luck next year."

I'm already accepted and got the same email to participate in the admissions event. I was confused.

Received an email from Richmond titled, "Exciting news from Richmond Law" which did NOT include the exciting news I was looking for. They're doing this on purpose!

Is anyone going to attend one of the admitted student Open House on either 3/23 or 3/30?

Just got in with a call from the Dean. She estimated around $20,000 a year in scholarships...nice! Good luck, everyone!

i'll be attending the open house on 3/23! the talk offered that day seemed more interesting than the one offered on 3/30.

I'm also leaning towards the 3/23 session.

Statistically I would say yes. Did you have a voicemail and/or a text message?

When I missed my admission phone call I had a voicemail and a f/up text message. I called back within minutes.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
