Congrats to all those who have been admitted.

My app went under review 1/20. Looks like I still have a while to wait since the majority on here went through a "final committee review" before hearing a decision.

Received my scholarship info in the mail last week, 25k a year!

Did anyone else get the invitation for the Summer Program they're offering?

I haven't heard about the summer program yet. What are the details?

Also, I've decided to enroll at UA. Couldn't refuse the offer haha. Anybody else decided yet?

From what I read you basically move up. At the end of may to take a summer class so you would only have 12 hours during the fall

It's looking like Bama's where I will be but nothing is set in stone yet. Got a few other contenders to think about.

Alabama was literally the first application I sent off, and it looks like they'll be the last I'll hear from. I think I'll watch episodes of Sweet Home Alabama to fill the void...

Anybody know more info on employment statistics than what's available on Bama's website? Specifically the primary and secondary locations where people end up working.

From the presentation career services gave at orientation this year, the top five cities were Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, Montgomery, Huntsville and Mobile. Supposedly Bham is always number one and the other five fluctuate from year to year.

First year OCIs start tomorrow and the firms that are coming on campus are primarily from B'ham and Montgomery with a couple from Mobile, Huntsville and Tuscaloosa thrown in. There aren't really any from out of state for the 1Ls but that has more to do with the nature of the market (Alabama firms still have 1L summer associate classes whereas most other states do not) than the limitations of the school.

Just got my phone call from Claude. She was super nice and I got the 75,000 scholarship. This makes Alabama very attractive because it will only cost 6k a year. If I'm able to get instate residency granted for years 2 and 3, the cost will only got to 3k a year for going to school. Essentially I could only pay about 12k in tuition for 3 years, which would be awesome. Going to make Alabama very attractive.
