Updated from 2/28 to 3/1. Around how many review updates do most people see from Alabama before a response?

Same boat as you. Went under review 1/20, then updated to 3/5 with no noticeable change except for the date.

Got in with $25K a year. Question regarding scholarships...if I receive in-state year two, does the $ award go down, since it's less than $25K a year? I'd almost be going to school for free at Bama...definitely considering it.

My understanding is that it's pretty near impossible to gain Alabama residency for tuition purposes if you don't already have it, since time spent in AL for school doesn't count.

Thanks! Suppose it's unlike Carolina, where many gain residency 2nd year...just need to minimally prove that you want to stay in NC.

Still a very generous offer and I'll have to weigh it against others.

Just got an update! Maybe they've figured out who I am on TLS and decided to go ahead and put me out of my misery. I've been EXPOSED, but I'm grateful nonetheless. Alabama, Please don't let it be for naught! Hoping for a decision this week.

Just looked at my status checker and realized I was admitted today! Applied 2/26 and had a couple updates I think. Thankful for the quick turnaround (applied to most schools in October and still haven't even heard back from a couple of them

Just got a letter listing a couple "outstanding requirements." One was "student not in graduate program." It basically said that on my FAFSA I said that I am currently enrolled in a graduate program while their records show that I am still in undergrad. If I remember correctly, FAFSA only asks what you will be classified at the beginning of the 2012-2013 Fall semester. I answered graduate and I don't see what else I could have answered. Anybody else get this letter?

My status says "pending final committee decision" as of last week... Anyone else get this?

I really hope I get in. I visited Tuscaloosa & the law school in January and I LOVED it. Mr. Cotton (and everyone else in admissions) was so nice.

Missed the call from Claude a couple of hours ago, but found out I got 25K out-of-state! Wow. I pretty much had my decision a lock between UGA and W&L, but this makes my decision a lot more difficult. Guess I'll be visiting for ASW.

Out of all of the schools I applied to, I know the least about Alabama. Any current law students out there that could possibly answer a few questions? As a born and bred Georgia boy, I find it hard to say "roll tide."

I got an email from Bama today with a fee waiver. I believe their original cutoff date was the 1st of March but it shows Aug 8th. I don't know if that is a change or I just "thought" it was March 1st.

Just wondering if that means the apps are really down numbers wise and they are delaying any decisions to see if they get a good numbers increase from the Feb LSAT takers.

Just thought I would throw that out there.
