where does bama rank on yalls list?

Fairly high as I am in state and could very well be happy working in state. I never went to the "waiting final decision" state either, so I do not know what to think of that. My numbers are 173/2.54 so I am a pretty extreme splitter, well above the 75th lsat and below the 25th gpa.

Got a phone call today from Claude; she's so lovely!! She had a great scholly offer too!! I'm really hoping you guys got the same call today!

^yep got the same call. The whole office seemed really friendly. Unfortunately my scholly was only 10K a year but my GPA is horrible so i guess i cant complain

When I visited I had meetings with about 10 different people (including Claude and the Dean) and they are seriously the nicest people I've ever met. If any of you are at ALL on the fence about going, visiting and meeting with Claude and a Professor or two will quickly change your mind. The faculty & staff at Alabama are so, so wonderful.

(There is also a huge new wing that most of the 1L classes are held that is glorious and beautiful, and Alabama is going to win the BCS title this year, duh, so next fall is going to be even more exciting!!)

My status as of 11/28, "complete". A message above says "Your application is complete and has been submitted to the Admissions Committee for review." Is that what you guys consider "under review"?

Was anyone else invited to the prospective students dinner in Birmingham? Wondering if it is for admits/applicants/scholarship recipients...

I was invited. My guess is that it is for admitted students, but it didn't specifically say.

First time poster, long time lurker.....I received an email today about signing up for a Mybama account, but my application status on the checker is "pending final committee decision." Does this signal a good sign for an acceptance, or does everybody get one of these emails?

They send the mybama to everybody

Thanks, that's what I figured. I was hoping that maybe it was a sign, I don't want to be stuck in the pending committee decision purgatory forever.

Still haven't received the Mybama info though.

I got a phone call 2/3 days after the status checker changed. When she was on the phone with me she told me about the $$$ offer and then said she was sending a letter in the mail with more details. I got the letter like 3 days after the call
