Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
Waitlisted at Maryland. I am 90% sure I will be going to Tennessee next year, but since Maryland will be practically free for me (military with GI Bill), I think I will remain on the waitlist and see what happens. I have heard good things about the second oldest law school in the nation.

Got my letter today too....waitlisted. I am going to hold out and pray they accept me off the waitlist. If not, oh well!

Did you apply part-time or full-time?

I was full-time. Mandi, I am pulling for you.
Make sure you write a LOCI in addition to your email asking to stay on the waitlist.

So, thus far, everyone who went DR on 3/6 has been waitlisted?

Damn that sucks....now i'm starting to worry a little bit. I was under review two weeks....guess they have all their offers out? Why would they send me a fee waiver then...hmmm......

Depending on your numbers.... it could be a YP move on their part.

I'd hope that's not the case I got good numbers and urm status. But not high for yield protect; I'd be honored if they thought that but upset as well. Time will tell. I'm in CA so I'm doubtful my letter has arrived. They should seriously move to digital.

Just saw an e-mail from Maryland inviting me to a webchat (admitted students). Anyone doing this? The message was damn last-notice considering the webchat was today with another session tomorrow. Hours are pretty inconvenient too.

For those who were waitlisted via snail mail, did you also receive an email? I'm curious as to why some applicants received an email and why some received a letter...

I think all the earlier waitlist batches were e-mailed. My waitlist notice was delayed a day due to a "power outage." Maybe the outage made them wary of e-mail?
Anyone wanna predict where Maryland will fall in the 2013 USNWR ranking?

If I attend, around 20. If not, probably 75.

That sucks, I honestly don't know how it's gonna go for me after a short time in review but of they still emailed I'd appreciate that as opposed to waiting....should have applied sooner I guess lol.

Depending on your numbers.... it could be a YP move on their part.
Or selectivity rating ploy.

If your numbers are both high, I would guess that it is an acceptance. I am sure Maryland doesn't care about yield protection for one late application with high marks.
