Congrats! On 1/17 you said that your status hadn't changed from "received" on 1/5. When did it change to decision made? Do you have great numbers?
It changed to in review on 1/19 and decision made on 1/24.

My roommate and I both live in Baltimore. I am very serious about the part-time program and applied. He applied with higher numbers than me, but he really has a desire for a t-14. He was accepted within two weeks (both #'s above 75th quartile). I am still waiting.

If I were to take a guess at what's going on, they are holding applications to figure out scholarships vs. sticker vs. waitlist. I've read about some dings, so it has me a little optimistic that if you are IR for a long time they would have dinged you earlier.

Edit: To qualify, I have been IR since 12/1 no date changes. Thats what I qualify for "a long time". For those who applied in the last couple of weeks my advice is patience.

I agree that a few weeks does not constitute a long wait. And, it's been 8 weeks since 12/1. So, hats off to you for your patience.

I was mostly curious as to why some applicants (who applied later) received decisions sooner than others (who applied earlier). Accepting applicants with numbers above both 75th percentile earlier is not surprising at all. However, I wonder how other variables come in to play?

At any rate, I am also very serious about the part-time program. Hopefully we receive good news soon!

In a weird way, I appreciate the longer waits because it suggests to me that they may be looking beyond the numbers.

I hope so. But personally, I think they are hoping that someone with better numbers applies.

Lol probably, but it's better than a rejection. Or maybe it's a combination of both?

On one hand, I feel good that there are fewer people applying to law school this year, on the other hand, Maryland's apparently reducing the number seats in the pt program by 33%!

been in-review since 11/18.. honestly i feel that they just wait 12 weeks and then send a rejection....many people with acceptances have found out 1-3 weeks after being in review..but those with longer waits seem to receive a wait-list or an outright rejection.

I waited over 2 months, almost 3 and was accepted.

The answer is yes, see below. Also review LSN. The lack of response is still worrying though (especially at 9-10 weeks out). Although they say 8-12 weeks, so patience is the virtue they seek.

I didn't think that Maryland had sent out any offers yet, can anyone else confirm this?

I got my packet yesterday (it had a larger congratulations on it). ASD is March 31. However, I am planning on withdrawing. Good luck to those of you who are waitlisted!

I got my packet yesterday. No mention of scholarship info anywhere. Does this mean I'm not getting any, or could it still be forthcoming?

Did anyone's packet come a good month after acceptance. It might even be longer than that, but I was surprised when I looked in the mailbox because I had expected the packet a lonnnngggg time ago

Mine came a good two months after acceptance. Good to see Maryland is on the ball here
