Yes! The cheapest (and VERY easy!) way is to take the airtrain from the airport to NY/Penn Station. At Penn, take the 1 train uptown to 59th street. Get off at 59th/Columbus Circle, walk 1 block west and a few blocks north. (You can also get off at 66th street and walk south - that's a bit prettier as you go past Lincoln Center.) Hope you have a great time - wish I was going to be around to say hi!
EDIT: actually, this is Thursday? Hm. Maybe I could swing by...

For those on the waitlist, I'm 99% sure I will be withdrawing in the next few days. I hope the spot goes to one of you who really wants it.

Speaking solely for myself, the cost-benefit just didn't work. Fordham's an awesome school, and I'm glad they gave me the opportunity to attend, but after lots of thought i just can't do it.

Just to clarify:

Take Airtrain to the RailLink station. Go to the orange and blue NJ Transit ticket kiosk and buy an Adult One-Way ticket to New York Penn Station. Put your ticket in the access gate like the diagram shows you. Your ticket will pop up slightly in front of where you put it in. Once you pull it out, the gate will open for you. Trains to NY are either Track 4 or Track 5 (I think, just follow the sign for trains to Newark/New York and NOT the ones for Trenton). The ride is about 25-30 minutes, don't get off at Newark Penn Station! At NY Penn, you can also take the A or C to 59th/Columbus Circle. My experience is that the NJ Transit trains tend to spit you out closer to the 8th Ave side of the station so the A and C would be closer (marginally).

The train from EWR generally comes in on tracks 1-4, which puts you midway down the corridor - slightly closer to the 1 I think, but hey, that's just my preference. :)

Jeez, we're all adults here - When you get to penn station, just find a subway and take it north / uptown
But, to get pedantic:
Get off at columbus circle. see that big building opposite central park? It's got two towers of about 60 floors each and is called the Time Warner building. Take the street to the right of it (walking away from the park) for one block, then turn right. One block later is Fordham - can't miss. The Business school comes first and the law school is right behind it.
Now do the hokey pokey and turn around - that's what it's all about.

Take the 1 to 66th. Columbus Circle? Gross.

Scenic route: take subway to museum of natural history. After seeing exhibits, cross street to central park. Follow horse trail south. Exit around 62nd street, go west until you hit fls.

I'm deposited here btw. Will withdraw in a few weeks or so. Couldnt justify it. It's tough to see how Fordham will maintain #3 in NYC/top 30 overall status with how cheap and non-competitive they are. Good luck to those on the wl, but beware of going to this school unless you got serious scholly/aid or you come from a wealthy family.

Regarding Fordham's cost, I hear ya Zionman, but check out the Cardozo placement versus Fordham. It's like twice as unlikely you'll get a lucrative job out of Cardozo versus Fordham. Yes, Cardozo is inexpensive, but the way I see it, you're getting what you pay for. Which is why I decided not to apply there. Unless you want to be a patent attorney, Fordham is the clear choice.

Yeah, thats why I'm not going to dozo, either. I'll be going to G-town. They actually gave me more merit $ than Fordham. And every school around Fordham's ranking literally gave me 1.5 to 3.5 times what Fordham gave me. Im kinda flabbergasted by how cheap Fordham was...to be honest.

Every cycle this comes up. Now I'll say that F'ham just doesn't have the funds that G'town and others have, Mr. Anon will say that there's no proof of that and we'll let it go for another year. :)

(But seriously, if you're thinking it's personal? It's not. I think Mr. Anon and I can agree: very little aid at F'ham. Congrats on getting more money at G'town and best of luck to you.)

(Edit - at least, little aid as compared to some near competitors.)

Wait, is Zionman the same as Mr. Anon? Checked this guy's posts and it seems he just randomly posts all over the place. Usually antagonistic.

I think she means she fights with Anon not that Z = A

In ref to a Dozo thread on June 5th, Guess he/she hadn't got all that money at G-town yet then.....

HAha! Good guess, ned... but no. He's an angry 0L whereas Mr. Anon is a disgruntled 3L (you did just finish, right Mr. A? You better stick around the boards!)

That said, he sure is a trollish one. I did some looking around myself because I could have sworn this kid said he'd withdrawn ages ago... and sure enough, on June 2nd...

So Zion, were you lying then or are you lying now? And which is it, G-town or Dozo?
