I applied last week and got my status checker today, fingers crossed!
Does anyone know if you check the "EITHER" box if they consider you for FT first or how that goes?

LSN suggests that in past years, most people didnt hear anything before January. Not very surprising considering they have limited scholarship money available so they have to be careful how they offer it so it is effectively used. I must say, their traveling admissions staff is pretty good; definitely among the better people I have interacted with.

IUPUI UG. Applying soon - Waiting on LOR's
For some schools to which I'm applying I'm worried about applying both FT and PT. If I'm below medians, I'm afraid they might just eliminate me from FT admissions and offer money for PT.

Applied for early decision PT or FT. Waitlisted last year, so I am hoping the early decision will save me from the horrid waitlist anxiety.

Re: IU-Indianapolis Class of 2015 (2011-2012 cycle)
I sent in my application before I got my LSAT score back. I selected both full time and part time. Once I found out my score, which was above the 75th percentile for full time I just shot the admissions office an email asking them to consider me for full-time first and then part-time if, for whatever reason, I was rejected by full time. I work in Indy now so I went for a visit. The admissions staff seemed friendly and the building is new and well updated. IU-Indy is probably my top choice. My entire family lives in Indianapolis and I like the city. Went to Purdue though so its going to be really difficult for me to get a degree that has Indiana University written on the top............

I applied October 27th for either FT or PT. Still says Application Rec'd.
I visited IU-B last weekend to see family and the campus looked beautiful.
Starting to have second thoughts on Indy

Not a single member of my family has received a degree from the Bloomington campus for anything lol. Just sending in an application to IU-Bloomington was difficult enough. I probably want to work in Indianapolis so IU-Indy will probably be my best bet. Hasnt stopped me from applying to like 18 schools though lol.boilermaker11 wrote:TOTALLY UNDERSTAND!!patrickj11288 wrote: Went to Purdue though so its going to be really difficult for me to get a degree that has Indiana University written on the top............

Applied! App is incomplete as I'm still waiting on a rec, but they don't start reviewing until January so I'm not incredibly concerned (the last rec got mailed in Monday ). From Ohio but was born in Indy and my entire extended family is out there.

Has any ED candidates went under review or even received a decision letter yet? I've been listed as "Application Received" for 2 weeks!

I have been app received for almost two weeks. I would think decisions will likely be some time away (maybe mid to late December), but I have not gone through the early decision process before.boilermaker11 wrote:Has any ED candidates went under review or even received a decision letter yet? Where all have you applied/plan to apply?

Scratch that. I just went File Complete as of this am. You might want to check again as it seems they have processed some applications. Now it is just a waiting game for the admissions board to review my file.jcsimon wrote:I have been app received for almost two weeks. What are everyones numbers if you dont mind me asking? Im 160 lsat and 3.6 GPA from Purdue liberal arts. What are your thoughts on this years medians? Up or down from last year? Also does anyone know anything about IU-Indy's merit scholarships? How many do they give out per year? What are my chances with my numbers? My application has been in since mid October so I'm guessing it will take them a while to respond with a decision. Im not ED by the way.

Does anyone know if they give out scholarships to part-time students. My numbers are a 3.7/157, I know my stats aren't great but I am above their 75% in both GPA/LSAT for the part-time program.

Current 1L here. My numbers were (not putting the exact ones, but an idea- plus I know people with higher and lower numbers with scholarships) 158-160 and 3.3-3.5. Got a half-ride.
Didn't get my acceptance last year until 3.5 months after applying and my scholarship a month after that.
The school is really great, all of my professors are top notch, and the physical building is FANTASTIC- only 10 years old with tall ceilings and lots of light.
PM me with questions if you want.
