I'll be at Weatherstone Condos... It's super close and pretty cheap... Or at least a whole lot cheaper than what I've been paying in Midtown for 3 years

Does anyone know if the Emory shuttle is free and how often it runs? I'm hesitant to spend $670 on parking, and im planning on living Briarcliff campus crossing. Is anyone else planning on living at Briarcliff? I'm from NY and like that the apartments are furnished. Does anyone know what these apartments are like?

Hey,

1. Don't pay for parking as a 1L as you will NOT get lowergate, which is the parking garage next to the law school. You will get a garage further away and have to take a bus to get to school.

2. I lived at campus crossings. Bus stop is out front. Its not an amazing place to live, but as you said it is furnished which is nice. I was there the first year it opened and the main water main in the building broke causing flooding to 1/4 of the building and apartments....The walls are thin, so you may hear neighbors playing music or being loud etc.

Do you mind sharing some info on some of the nicer places to live that you would recommend as well as some of the more budget friendly

I guess I don't know much but before ASD I looked at about 6 complexes, including Briarhill, Post Briarcliff, Preserve at Briarcliff, Campus Crossings and Highland Square (I think that's what it was called). I ended up deciding on AMLI and North Briarcliff. It's about 6 miles from campus (about 12-15 min), but it is ridiculously nice and you can get a spacious 1 bedroom for less that $800/mo. Based on my undergrad experience, I'm used to living a little farther from campus as well as having to walk a good distance from the parking lot to class, so that doesn't bother me at all. If you're in the same boat, AMLI is a great and relatively inexpensive option!

Does anyone know about Woodland Hills? Only $750-$800, its 3 miles from Emory, and pretty large.

The AMLI apartments look really nice, but they are a little far. I live in atlanta and the traffic can be particularly bad on those roads so it could make getting to and from class a pain.

What about any of the Gable properties (specifically Gables Montclair)? Sorry about all of the questions...I'm not from the area, so not sure about location and such.

Live at Gables Rock Springs (Just as close if not closer to campus) and you never hit traffic like you do with Montclair. Also its closer to the highlands. (Current Emory Undergrad)

Yeah, that's what I'm assuming. I'm just putting all my effort into my June re-take and not fretting over WLs.

posted this in the wrong place wow, early morning.

I'm no master at the waitlist... but I do recommend... from what I have heard...

if you are still waiting to hear back from the waitlist.. you should make sure you send them your new transcripts and a LOCI, if you aven't already. A second LOCI counldnt hurt either if you sent your first one when you were initially put on the waitlist. I know they really like to read LOCI's.... Also, if you know someone that attends Emory Law currently, and are on good standing with them, I would mention them... the dean may talk to them and ask about you.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
