Re: GW c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Well I'm slightly below both medians.looking at LSN, they seem to mostly be accepting people with a 168+ or a 3.8+ and are very splitter friendly. I was hoping for at least a waitlist but with such a fast turnaround I think I was an auto deny
I went complete on January 1st.

Rejected with a 3.77 and a 165. I was not expecting to get in, but I figured that I was likely to be wait listed. C'est la vie, can't do anything about it. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting to hear back!

sorry to everyone who got rejected today, judging by all of your numbers i will probably join you too.
i'm assuming that most of you heard via e-mail. not to be totally specific, but at what time did most of you receive the e-mail? it's taken so long to hear back that every time i check my e-mail i expect the rejection e-mail. i'm hoping that your responses could reduce some of the anxiety.

I think GW has an LSAT floor this year of 168. Looking at LSN:
http://gw.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/?whichCycle=1112
and almost everyone with a 168+ has been admitted, while competitive candidates with a 167 or lower are out, with a few waitlists.
For the record, I have a 3.35/167. I thought I would be at least waitlisted, not auto-rejected 4 days after going complete...
I'm really surprised, too, since last year their range was 162-168/3.39-3.87...they're definitely trying to climb the rankings this year

I haven't posted in here yet, but just to give 167s continued hope, I was accepted a few weeks ago with a 167 and 3.81. Good luck everyone!

Perhaps GW is trying to become the new WUSTL? I feel like they could pull it off, since DC is a better location that St. Louis (at least IMO). The only issue is that GW will have to be a little more generous with money in order to match WUSTL.

Re: GW c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Another 167 waitlist by email. Seems like they are being pretty consistent. Went complete 1/24.
Best of luck to everyone else.
EDIT: adding, I expect to withdraw in a couple months, on WL I cannot expect a scholarship and the 74K cost of attendance/yr would put me in a level of debt I am unwilling to take on in in the current economy.
also if anyone wants my gpa please feel free to pm me. Holding it from public postings until after I hear back from most schools.
Best of luck to everyone else.

Def. not good news for me. Went complete 1/19. Similar numbers. Will probably get the waitlist email soon. Looks like GW is going for a higher LSAT score this year.

you make me feel a lot better cuz i've been getting so frustrated with the fact that i'm going on 12 weeks when they supposedly will get back to you in 8. at least we're in this together!

They'd better offer up some big $ to the 169+ crowd, given that the vast majority of those who have been accepted on LSN with that LSAT range have also been accepted to T14s. I think it's a risky strategy for them to deny/WL people with 167s.

This is idiotic. I know a guy who is a current 2L who got a full ride + housing stipend with identical numbers when he applied.
You guys are better off. I have a strong feeling this school is going down the tubes quickly a la Emory.

Wow... I'm shocked... I thought for sure you were in, especially considering how well this cycle has been going for you. I got WL'd too with worse numbers. Will you be staying in or withdrawing?

Waitlisted via email. I was hoping I wouldn't have to play the waiting game.

no my LSAT is lower which is why i'm even more confused. they've already denied people who have my exact numbers so i've braced myself for the worst but at the same time, since they're taking so long with it it makes me feel like there's at least one thing they liked that's stopping them from rejecting me. then again, this could just be me trying to give myself the slightest glimmer of hope.
my theory is similar to other people's in that i think GW is trying to raise their medians this year, but a lot of the people they're admitting will probably go to other schools so maybe they're just waiting to see how many people submit deposits before they give answers to more borderline candidates? WHO KNOWS!

Idk. I'll probably be withdrawing. I'm getting money from peer schools, so I'm confused why I wasn't in. Must be because I applied late in the cycle.
