Congrats to both of you! Glad to see more evidence that they're looking at their waitlist. Mind sharing your numbers/some distinguishing application info?
Not sure about Catholic vs. American. Is that 18k less a year or overall? Do you know where you might like to practice?

160/3.4
Catholic would be around 18k a year less. This isn't including any $$ that I could possibly get at American for 2l. As far as where I want to practice, I think that with either school I'll probably be limited to DC, though American has a much better reputation. On the other hand, American at sticker is an overwhelming thought!

Soo who else got the black leather notebook with the imbedded logo in the mail? Disappointed. There isn't even a pen included! WHAT. I could buy 900 of these with $900.
Funny, it even says 'you can take this to future job interviews' .................

Hi Future WCLers!
I am a rising 2L looking for someone to take over my lease. I am working abroad this summer and so I am looking for someone who can move in June 1st.
The apartment is located above the Van Ness metro. This area is very popular with 1Ls. It's a 20 minute walk to the WCL shuttle at Tenleytown, or you can take the bus out front (H2) or the metro. It is also a minute away from Giant grocery store, CVS, the brand new Walgreens. All the other essentials are close by too, Starbucks, Potbellys, Gold's Gym, etc.
This is a 2br/1bath apartment. The room available is a good size (10'4" x 15') with a walk in closet. The main living areas are shared and very spacious. There is an awesome balcony for relaxing after school. Your roommate will be a 2L at Howard.
The $1280 rent includes all utilities except for $20/mth for internet and a one time charge of $275 to change the lease. Garage parking is available at an additional charge.
The complex itself has great amenities: an olympic size pool, laundry facilities on each floor, 24hr doorman, 24hr fitness center, multi-tiered courtyard terrace, on site dry cleaning valet and ATM, free coffee station, social room & media center with computers and free printing, faxing, and scanning.
Looking for someone clean, who is responsible in paying rent and time, and is easy to get along with!
PM me with any questions or for pictures!
Congratulations and I hope to get to know you all next year!!

Some wait list activity this week:
I won't be attending (actually forgot I'd submitted my waitlist form since it happened the same day I got in where I'm headed), so I've withdrawn... but wanted to pass along the info.April 30, 2012
Dear BVest,
Thank you for your continued interest in American University Washington College of Law. We will be reviewing a small number of applicants from our waiting list for admission into the full-time program. Your file has been selected for consideration by the Committee on Admissions. Prior to bringing the file to the full committee, I wanted to determine your level of interest. If you are interested in attending American University Washington College of Law this fall in the full-time program, please respond to this email within 24 hours and provide a phone number where you can be reached.
Important: Candidates offered a seat in the entering class must commit to American University Washington College of Law and submit a non-refundable $900 seat deposit by credit card or e-check via the AU web portal within 24 hours of receiving the offer.

Thanks for the info Can't say it's not a little frustrating that they've pulled people who have filled out the waitlist form and not sent LOCI's (which sounds like your situation). Suppose that's really for all schools though and how they work. Good luck where you're going!

I'm curious to know myself. I took it to be solely a YP email, but it could be that there's an actual application review involved. Since I withdrew my application upon receipt, I'll have to rely on you guys to tell me what follows.mmmbop wrote:Me too!! Do you know if that means they are going to offer us a spot? Yield protect. As in "we'd like to offer you admission, but only if you want to come here, so if we were to offer you admission, would you say yes?"LA626 wrote:YP?
