Despite what economists say is a slight turn around in the evonomy in 2011, NDLS still dropped from 23% to a sickening 13%. What on earth will it be next, 6%? Based on the downward trend, what makes people optimistic? I ask because there seems to be optimism in the minds of the above posters.
Also how could a policy change make T250 firms hire more than 13%?
People don't get NLJ250 jobs the year they graduate, they get them during OCI, 2 years before they graduate. So the class of 2011 was doing OCI during the fall of 2009, after the financial meltdown. The class of 2010 was doing OCI in the fall of 2008, when stuff wasn't that bad.
Good point. I'd love to hear a current student take a shot at guessing the the number of students getting NLJ 250 jobs for the class of 2012 or 2013? I realize it's only a guess, but 26 students for the class of 2011, is just horrifying. Spite? 2L person?
