I have what I would call decent softs...some organization leadership positions, clubs but nothing out of normal....I thought I had a pretty strong PS though...and I guess you could call about a year and half intern at corporate law firm WE so I think I had a pretty strong APp....i definately think I outperformed my numbers...though I am an AA male URM so that probably helped

Re: Notre Dame Class of 2015
To be honest its a dead tie right now for W&L, Howard, and Notre Dame...Though if I got into BC id prob. lean there...and if I get off Fordham waitlist Ill more than likely go there becasue its gives me the best shot for NYCJsa725 wrote:Sure, what school are you leaning toward?mcdeeremitch wrote:What are your numbers...you can pm if you like?Jsa725 wrote:I think i have a good app as well, considering low-ish numbers...I wrote a good PS and optional essays N such, 6 years WE and financed myself through undergrad....I'm in a waiting game now.... Gotta admit, frustrated seeing 20 points lower LSATs accepted while I got wait listed.
That is what I get for drinking 23 hours a day in college.

Saw someone accepted with a 152 unless I misread. I did misread, it was a little higher than that. But maybe a good Why Illinois will get me off the wait-list so no reason to be bitter yet.BarcaCrossesTheAlps wrote:20 point lower LSATs?

Congrats. I certainly see both viewpoints. Ultimately I was hoping they would judge candidates based on criteria that is universally measurable. But this isn't the place for that type of discussion.mcdeeremitch wrote:I just got into today with a 154...but I think I had a pretty solid appBarcaCrossesTheAlps wrote:20 point lower LSATs?

They may judge candidates based on criteria that is universally measurable, but it may have been a reason why they ignored the LSAT score. We will never know what happens in those Admission Offices.

We all have our theories. Just annoyed at the process that is obviously flawed!sdphill wrote:givemea170 wrote:Congrats. I certainly see both viewpoints. This debate has been rehashed too much on this board. I'll leave it at that.sdphill wrote:How so?givemea170 wrote:

I don't think that it is flawed...I think that I am the definition of a wholistic application review process they were able to look past my numbers and see things in my app that they believed would make me a good fitsdphill wrote:How so?givemea170 wrote:

You're certainly entitled to your opinion as everyone is.mcdeeremitch wrote:I don't think that it is flawed...I think that I am the definition of a wholistic application review process they were able to look past my numbers and see things in my app that they believed would make me a good fitsdphill wrote:How so?givemea170 wrote:

I do, however, know for certain that everyone has different upbringings and opportunities in their life before law school, but everyone does take the same test so it would make a lot more sense to focus serious weight on the one constant between applications.

Re: Notre Dame Class of 2015
I definitely understand and respect your position as well...but to your point studies do show that certain groups of people perform worse on the last than others...no one can actually say why that is..but the numbers are what they are...I'm a believer that the application process should be more than a numbers game...maybe I feel that way because I'm the be with the lower number I don't know how I would feel if I was a high numbers candiadate so I definitely understand where you are coming from as wellgivemea170 wrote:You're certainly entitled to your opinion as everyone is.mcdeeremitch wrote:I don't think that it is flawed...I think that I am the definition of a wholistic application review process they were able to look past my numbers and see things in my app that they believed would make me a good fitsdphill wrote:How so?givemea170 wrote:
