Has anyone in the 1/13 decision made group NOT been admitted?

Me too. Just got the snail mail letter today. 168/3.52/6 years WE in big pharma. In at peers with significant $, so kind of a WTF moment. Oh well

ETA: Did not write Why ND. Also, I was waitlisted, not straight dinged.

Yeah, it's strange even when looking at lsn from previous years. It seems like people with numbers similar to yours (like mine) either get waitlisted or accepted with $$. Can't be too sure what that's about, but it does seem to be really important to write a Why ND...

I know, right? And I got into Illinois by email about 30 seconds after opening the rejection letter from ND, so that helped to temper the disappointment. Its been a rollercoaster of a Monday.

I don't know if a 'Why ND' essay is a must. I did not write one, and I was accepted. Good luck!

While you could make the argument from past LSN graphs that they certainly make a few surprising WL decisions, it seems they are making a lot of surprising WL decisions this year. I looked at 10/11 and there are a bunch of yellows dotting all over the map but it looks like it's even crazier this year.

There's some other school that does hardcore YP. I think it was American, though they may not do that anymore (I think it was 09/10). Anyway, it will be VERY interesting to look at NDLS's class profile for c/o 2015.

I'd say the graph looks like it's going to end up the same way.

Fair enough. There aren't very many points to show a distinct change (as opposed to GULC, where the difference is very noticeable). But from what has been posted in 11/12 so far versus 10/11: the 167-169 range in 11/12 seems about 50% green whereas in 10/11 it looks like >50% green. Again, not many points there, so who knows. Looking at 09/10, yeah, seems similar to this year. It looks like they just toss every other app on the WL pile regardless of numbers.
