There is UNLIMITED wine/beer, heavy hour' dourves, and lots of really cool things up for action. Plus, it'll be a great opportunity for you to meet current students, faculty and community members and get to know each other. Also, it is 100% socially acceptable to get far too drunk - no one will judge you.
Hm. I didn't sign up for that...should I have?
From what I heard it was going to be put on your itinerary. I can check and see what happened to that. Either way, you guys are allowed to come. You'll probably have to buy tickets (since it's a fundraiser). Its $15 pre-sale (they'll be on pre-sale Thursday in what's called the upper rotunda, and I can see if there is some way to get you guys the pre-sale price Friday as well). Tickets will be $20 at door. At either price it's still a good deal for all the alcohol you can get.

edit: What day does ASW start?
Friday morning at 10 am

Hopefully Irish coffee will be available, lol.

Well the Saturday morning one starts at 8:30...I've opted to do Case's ASW on Friday and CSU's on Saturday. I'm thinking I'll need the Irish coffee for the latter. And on a sidenote, I was in Amsterdam on St. Patty's Day and they don't do Irish coffee. They were like, you want Baileys...in your coffee? Why would you do that?

That is very interesting. The people I knew who were drinking Baileys on St. Patty's Day were drinking Baileys straight in a mug. I personally think it sounds better in coffee lol.

Per the Saturday start time, that doesn't really matter for the SPILF event since that's going on Friday night

Well, I guess it's official, we're invited to the Gala. Did you all get the email? Free for us, that's kind of cool. Anyway, I'll be at Case's ASD on Friday and Cleveland-Marshall's on Saturday.

Free for us is cool. Now Case will be providing us free drinks two times on Friday. I plan on being at the ASW Friday and Saturday. Case is my top choice so I'm excited to meet other people seriously considering going there, like a few people here have suggested

At this point, Case is my top choice, but it's all gonna come down to money.

Using the SPILF gala as part of ASW...canny. Very canny. You'll all leave with the impression that all we do is auction off faculty members and drink to excess.

Which is true.

Case is my top choice, as well. I'm hoping this weekend will solidify my decision.

So is this gala worth dressing up for and attending?

ABSOLUTELY! It's typically one of the most attended social events of the year. Plus, who doesn't like to get dressed up?

Anyway, I'm glad all the issues with you guys not being invited got sorted out! I can't wait to see you all there. I'll be bar tending for a bit.

I'm thinking of doing that too. I'm so incredibly indecisive with all of this. We'll see what I end up doing this weekend, and hopefully after it all will have a firm decision.

Is anyone else still waiting on a decision? I was held from early decision and I have not heard a peep from them. I'm really getting stressed out by this waiting game, this has gone on way too long....

Did anyone get a ring from a professor? He left a message and was talking about corporate law, obviously admissions put him up to it. It seems to be a good deal of work for someone they didn't even give a scholarship to, huh? I do really like the place, but without any scholly money I just can't consider it.

I got a call from one of the health law professors. She left a message on my phone asking if I had any questions about their program. I'm assuming this practice is normal around this time. 3 other schools I have been accepted to have had professors call me to answer any questions I may have

Same situation. Heard from a health law professor, kind call though.

I also was called by professor Jessica Berg, who I believe is a health law and bio-ethics specialist. She asked me if I had any questions regarding Case and studying the law.

Guys... don't judge us too much because of the power outage. The internet still works PERFECTLY. We have our priorities straight here at Case.

Again, I feel the need to apologize. SPILF Gala sucked this year. Last there there were at least 100 more people, considerably more alcohol and all of the auctions went for tons more money. Ugh, next year I should just run SPILF so that the event doesn't fail so badly. But... Case is more fun that that.... really. Please come here, and again, feel free to ask me any questions.

YAY!!! Now we need to get John to go and we can have our own TLS secret society at Case. I didn't let Gherkin in on the TLS thing. He was totally bragging to the law students today about our trip to the Jolly Scholar last night. I mean, it WAS pretty awesome.

Hahaaaa that's hilarious. He does need to come since I think we lost our 4th member to C-M. I think he can be persuaded. I mean, who the hell wouldn't want to be in our secret society?

Hey all, I'm waiting on a decision from Case (yes, I applied late in the cycle...)

Am I SOL for scholarship money at this point? I know at other schools their funds are tapped out at this point.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
