Dont get me wrong, I am saying dont sweat it. You might want to look for errors or something, but unless there is some unheard of fluke, congrats on being accepted to su.15 to 32 wrote:yeah... not one of my better momentscorvid wrote:accepted=accepted

Don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing! I opened the status checker and the damn thing actually says "admitted" and I still sat there staring at it going does that mean I'm accepted? Duh. It's just this waiting game, it drives us all into madness!15 to 32 wrote:yeah... not one of my better momentscorvid wrote:accepted=accepted

I read it as "decision pending" rather than "deposit pending," and was all, "aw, man, another update meaning nothing." And then I saw the admitted.Deadlights13 wrote:Don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing! And I agree 100%. I'm already fantasizing about which day this summer gets to be my last day at this job, aka the day I get to (mentally) tell a certain major client to kiss my ass.

In today via e-mail.
160/3.50.
I probably wouldn't attend unless they gave me a very generous scholarship though.

If you get a scholarship it will be included in your admission packet- which unfortunately, takes like 3 to 4 weeks to arrive. Good luck!

Really? I thought someone earlier said that scholly info came 3 weeks after your admit letter? Maybe I'm mixing up schools... That would be a nice thing to get! What size/stip scholarships have been offered to the admits on this board?Deadlights13 wrote:llachans wrote:In today via e-mail.

Three weeks is the time period for FAFSA aid award letters specific to the school. Inside my packet it said all merit scholarships are awarded with the admission packet and FAFSA based awards arrive 3 weeks later. I got the Dean's Diversity Scholarship, $10,000 renewable with conditions (top 25%). It's not much in the great scheme, but I am extremely grateful since my numbers aren't exactly stellar compared to others. The award letter led me to believe it had to do with volunteer work and/or "extreme obstacles"...so not sure.

Neeko, I think the longer the time period between your acceptance and snail-mail, the more likely it is that you will receive a scholarship. IMO, it is probably more time consuming to reconcile the amounts they choose to offer and therefore extends the time you have to wait prior to receipt of your admissions packet. I could be wrong- just assumptions here.

msu1077, just an fyi, but my scholarship from Seattle mirrors the offer I received from UOP, except UOP gave me free books. So, I don't know if that makes any difference I just thought it was curious.

I'm really not sure how I'll eventually choose. I'm hoping visiting the schools will make the decision more clear.neeko wrote:

Thank you! I was absolutely floored when I read the letter. Maybe people really can be Public Interest Lawyers!
Congrats on the diversity scholarship, that is amazing as well! SU is really spectacular with scholarships.
