Maybe you can at least tell us this, during what times of the day should we expect to hear if anyone has gotten in? Afternoon? After 8 am? 12-5pm?

Also, should we see our application status date on the app checker change at all when the committee looks at our file, or will it continue to show the date when we were wait listed?

Anything you can tell us, obviously everyone would be super appreciative!

I literally have no idea. We're in totally different offices. Sorry. I only wanted to point out that people actually joke around if you do put one school down when you're applying to another one.

I had The University of Houston Law Center at the top of my personal statement for a few other schools. I was definitely sweating a bit until I got those acceptance letters.

Probably, but we hold out hope!

Anyone had any contact with the admissions office at all recently?

This is so weird. UT exhausts their waiting list and starts pulling from the reject pool and UH is full-up with a line of people waiting to get in.

Strange year indeed.

I was thinking the same thing, especially given this article: http://insidethelawschoolscam.blogspot. ... pting.html

Maybe Htown is a saturated market or something

That's good for you guys! Probably means they're going to pull some people from UH and a trickle down effect will get some of these waitlisters in.

Where'd you hear that UT was pulling from their denials? Makes me wish I would have applied...

I think it's more that less people applied this year and the people that did apply are turning down offers at high ranking schools in favor of schollies and reduced debt at regional schools. A lot of these high ranking schools aren't the "sure things" they used to be and people are realizing it.

UT thread in this subforum. Someone got offered admission who had been rejected back in February.

I received a call from one of the Assistant Directors for Admissions this morning gauging my continued interest. She said there is movement this week and they will be hopefully back in contact later in the week. Anyone else get the call?

Thanks! Don't worry about the status checker, keep your phone close. My status didn't change to "admitted" until around eight hours after I got the phone call. Got a call making sure I was still interested yesterday and then got the congratulations call this morning.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
