Second wave! I checked the status checker, and today it says "11/18/11" under decision mailed. Exciting!

I checked late last night, and it said nothing, so this changed today.

I submitted a bit later than the people in the first round of acceptances - sent on 9/26, interview 9/29, complete 10/05.

Does anyone know when Vanderbilt's admitted student weekend is? I just looked through the viewbook, but I couldn't see it there. I'm guessing it's mentioned somewhere in the acceptance package.

The letter says March 16 or April 6, 2012.

Had my interview today and it went very well. The interviewer spent most of the time just talking to me about the school and answering my questions.

If Vandy were to extend me an offer I'm 99% sure I'd take it.

Interviewer still hasn't gotten back to me about the interview. Does anyone know if my decision will be postponed because I haven't done the interview yet?

When I called the admissions office about my interview, they said they would hold off on a decision until they heard back from my interviewer.

I heard back, we set something up, he cancelled 10 minutes before the meeting, said we'd meet up that weekend but never specified when or where, and then hasn't responded since then.

Hmm... I would call the school if I didn't hear back by tomorrow...

All these Vandy horror stories make me glad I declined to interview.

I had a similar situation: he contacted me 11/14, I replied, nothing for a week, I emailed him again and just heard back.

Don't be afraid to follow up with them. Say you're contacting them to give them your availability for dates after the holiday because you know it's a busy time.

Received my enormous Vanderbilt acceptance package today. It is great how much information they provide - especially regarding life in Nashville and job prospects. Puts my other acceptance packages to shame!

If it makes anyone feel better my interview went really well! And for undergrad an interviewer said he didn't think I would be a good fit for the school and was going to tell the school that. I got in anyways.
