COYS! And thanks for the 'favorite person' label in the g'town thread. Hopefully my scottie Parker fandom gets me into some 'top, top' law schools

You're a t'riffic candidate. Any school would be lucky to have you.

Ok I'm done now.

PS: Title winning form

Hah!

And form is temporary but being better than arsenal is pretty much a given at this point

Agreed with what everyone has said. Got the packet, disappointed that it was just a viewbook. Re: Spurs, it has to be said that Man City are going to win the title. But, if we can keep up the form, a #3 spot is very achievable. Anyone think Rafa will make it 6 straight on Sunday?

I'm following this for a bit until people yell at us and tell us to shut up. Man U haven't looked great with Cleverly out. Yeah I know that sounds crazy. I'm way passed sipping the kool-aid. I chugged at least a gallon. I think we can finish second. We started Livermore-Niko and Niko-Modric against the Manchester teams. This is our year boys and girls. coys

They'll let you know on Virtual VLS if they've mailed the decision on the status checker.

Yeah, looking through last year's thread it looks like they actually update the status checker at the time they mail a decision - unlike other law schools (cough cough, Georgetown). The acceptance packages come via FedEx.

If they follow the same pattern as last year, we still have a couple of weeks to wait, though.

Actually, I think the first decisions came near the end of October. Though don't quote me on that. I may be thinking of another law school

Kinda surprised about the lack of arsenal backlash.

Came home from work today to my roommate telling me I got into vandy. Expected a FedEx package and told him off when I saw the viewbook.

Interview on Saturday . . . fingers crossed.

For those of you who have done this already, what was your dress attire like? We're meeting at a Panera Bread, so I feel like full on suit action might not be necessary, but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

Casual. I did kahkis and a button down.

I'm currently putting together my merit scholar essays. Will they hold off on an admit decision until those are done? Or are they processed later?

You don't need to submit the scholarship essays before they give you a decision. I don't plan to submit mine unless I'm accepted.

I'm waiting to schedule a Skype interview, since I'm currently working overseas. Has anyone done this before? If so, do you have anything to share?

The due date for the merit scholarship application is January 10. Most of us should have admission decisions well before then. Last year, they didn't hand out any scholarship money until the beginning of March. So it makes sense to send your application as soon as you can, and then send the merit scholarship form later. You can't submit the scholarship form with the rest of the application anyway - it has to be mailed.

I did a Skype interview overseas. It was really casual. We went to the same undergrad and talked a lot about that, then why I wanted to go to Vandy.

The on campus interview was pretty much the same thing. The interview was waay more laid-backed than I expected, and the interviewer was really nice and helpful.

So not to ruin anyone's thoughts of the off-campus interview process, but mine was horrible. The lady who interviewed me was pretty rude and with each answer I gave her, she felt the need to criticize it in a very unproductive way.

Wow, that sounds horrible. I hope it doesn't reflect poorly on your file.

Oh, I've already prepared myself for the fact that I probably won't be living in Nashville next year.

ugh that is terrible. How long was this nightmare interview?

Also. how long did it take you to get an interview after you requested one on your VLS account? It's been just over a week and i haven't heard anything yet...
