I got a letter today, but fairly disappointed at the offer-- approx. 1/3 tuition. Received via snail mail in GA.

I'm planning a visit down to Nashville after receiving my waitlist. Can anyone comment if they think this is a good idea? I've already done an interview, and know they like people who like Nashville/have visited. Just wondering if anyone has any experience doing this

I applied to Vanderbilt on a whim because Nashville's kind of fun. Between how classy and helpful everyone associated with the school has been and how nice their $ is (>50%), I might end up going there. Already registered and travel booked for ASW in 2 weeks

To threadjack myself, I know there are some Vandy students reading this thread... the median age is pretty low, like 24. I'll be 30 when classes start, am I going to feel really out-of-place? I'm single and kind of a nomad, but I feel like I'll be out of place if I'm the only "old" dude there.

eh, also a 3/1 decision person. I don't think I'll be getting a black box, but I wasn't expecting it to come before Monday anyway. Pretty sure Fed-Ex doesn't do Saturday deliver for two-day mail unless the sender pays extra.
