Does anyone think a full ride at University of Miami, given that I have many pull factors and connections cause its my hometown and I would have the benefit of living at home, is alright to use for scholarship leverage against Vandy? They are obviously not peer schools, and I would mention that to them. But would it be a good idea to highlight the huge difference in financial help and the big ties I have to the area (Miami)?

And if you don't think it'll help, do you think it'll hurt?

Unfortunately, I don't think you would have any leverage with Miami ...if you could break into the top 25 use that as leverage

by breaking into T25 do you mean in with a scholarship offer or just in? I'm in at Georgetown right now, but no scholarship offer yet...

Any idea on when Vanderbilt will mail out the next batch of decisions? Has there been a noticeable pattern or certain day of the week when more decisions are mailed?

Is it worth it to use an acceptance at Georgetown to leverage for scholarship money at Vanderbilt? I haven't received any scholarship offers from G'town yet, but some have suggested that simply the acceptance might be able to get me some money from Vandy. Any thoughts?

Anyone know of any unofficial waitlist? I'm in the boat with some previous posters in that I went complete over a month ago and still haven't received anything or had my online status updated.

I don't know if there is an unofficial waitlist... quite a few people have already been mailed WL and rejections. I honestly think it has something to do with either A. They are waiting to see if we withdraw since our numbers are decent B. They are waiting to see if some who were already accepted withdraw before they offer any more admissions
