Anyone know the date that all applicants will be notified of a decision? Is it April 1, May 1, end of April?

Thanks.

DM 3/23.

I'm up in Michigan, so what should I be expecting in terms of timing. Monday FEDEX if I was accepted? Or could it be as late as Tuesday or Wednesday? On the contrary, it's a USPS letter if I get rejected, right?

And I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but does admits ALWAYS get an email from FedEx?

Question- US News and World Report estimates Vandy Room and Board as much higher than UT. However, Vandy claims on their website that Nashville 18% less expensive for living costs than Austin. Can anyone give me a clear idea which one has a good claim for being the cheaper beyond tuition, and by what kind of margin? I am trying to figure out how to weight the tuition costs of both schools including scholarship offers.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (I'm no Vandy expert) but housing expenses seem to be the biggest difference in places. If that holds here, check out padmapper.com for both locations and you should be able to compare rent rates. Obviously be reasonable--if you're not going to be comfortable in a studio apartment, don't include those in the search, etc. That should be a good start to figuring it out. Current students can maybe speak to utilities rates and whether groceries and whatever else is particularly expensive. And that's most of your room and board expenses.

Still nothing. I can only hope that my case mirrors yours, but I'm not too optimistic...

I'm a heavy splitter. 169 and 3.0

Went complete at 1/10, still no word yet. Am I pretty much looking at a waitlist?

Just to provide overall context of my results thus far:

In at GWU with $ and WashU with $$. Application was put on Hold at Northwestern, flying there next week to interview. Still no word from USC.

There's no written stipulation. Since it says something like you have until May 1st to accept, I was thinking it was implied...But I suppose if it isn't explicitly stated...NO DEAL
