Ok so this is kinda minor, mainly bc we all know about the black box, but why did Vandy send me a full size 2012 brochure?? I was excited when I saw the large envelop until I checked the return address and knew it was nothing of consequence. I'm sure this means nothing, but I'm curious if anyone else has gotten this? Idk, it's just weird. Good luck all!! May a black box grace your doorstep soon...

I got this brochure today as well... I know it means nothing, just weird that they sent it when I applied in December and have been complete since 12/20

I got the same thing a month or so before I found this thread and knew anything of a black box. I got ridiculously excited as my husband and I opened the "big envelope" to find...a brochure inviting me to apply. Not gonna lie--pretty confusing at the time.

I have this image in my head of the adcoms sitting around looking at my app with confused looks on their faces like- what should we do with this applicant? Ahhhhhh, SO CONFUSED! Should we waitlist her or just flat-out reject her? But seriously, this is happening to me with a lot of schools. I don't know what it is about me that makes people so indecisive.

I'm getting that from Michigan. Going on 5 months now. The email sent out was like "we aren't sure what to do with you".

I think we can assume the "countdown" starts today since yesterday was the official deadline for their need access scholarships... Also, does anyone (here's where you current students come to the rescue) know if the schollies come in via snail mail or e-mail??

I would guess snail mail just because it doesn't seem like they send important info via email

I'm getting that from Michigan. Going on 5 months now. The email sent out was like "we aren't sure what to do with you".

+1 at UCLA, NYU, Northwestern, and Michigan. They're just like, we maybe like you, but not enough.

Got my view book in the mail today. But that wasn't nearly as exciting as the black box that also arrived today!
