DR on April 2nd. I applied to the part-time program. Not expecting anything good though.

WL today. There was a form for indicating whether or not I would like to make PT my first choice. I thought I had made that clear from the get-go.

Well, it's been 10 days since they told me that I'll be hearing back in two weeks. Where's my letter????

On Feb 28 they told me I would hear back in 2-3 weeks, it's been 5 weeks and my app has been complete for 4 months. EEK

Anyone know when there will be movement on the WL? And chances of getting in off WL this year?

I got an email from the Financial Aid Counselor congratulating me on the Admission, woohoo!!. I haven't received anything in the mail yet, so I'm hoping its not a mistake. Let's see if its waiting for me when I get home.

I got my acceptance in the mail today and I had DR on 4/2. I knew I was accepted yesterday because I got two different emails congratulating me on my acceptance and inviting me to an admitted student reception.

Went DR today too. I don't expect much.

What the... I know I sound like a whining kid, but mine's still complete! Wah wah wah

Went DR today (finally) after being complete since 12/1. Not expecting any good news. Good luck everyone!

Waitlisted today. Waitlist letter said you may not find out until August and by then I would have to loose my entire deposit at the school I do end up attending AND you have to be able to pay them $700 as a deposit as soon as you get off the waitlist.

From what I have heard from friends who were in the same position last year, getting off the WL takes literally forever and pretty much goes all the way up until a couple days before orientation. It makes logically sense after it took 5 months to hear back I was waitlisted.

With that being said, I sent back the letter saying to take my name off the waitlist today. Later Loyola, done trolling in here.

When do people start being accepted off LLS WL? I've heard as early as late Arpril and early May, but I would assume the majority of people get in June and July.

Complete for about 9 weeks now. Was told 3 weeks ago that a decision would be ready in 1-2 weeks....

+1, except that I'm going about 25 weeks and counting! Was told I would hear back by end of Feb, then end of March, then in two weeks, now end of the month. I don't know what to think anymore. Even if I somehow get in, I wouldnt be getting any $$. I just want my cycle to be done so I can start planning for fall.

there is a group of three of us that are notifying loyola of our intent to attend elsewhere so I hope that my spot goes to someone on this forum! Good luck guys and don't lose hope!

So I was accepted to Loyola and Pepperdine but at full price. 3.67 with 160 here... has anybody thats been accepted received any grant/ scholarship, perhaps after negotiating? To be honest, Im not interested in going if its gonna be full price given the various stipualtions of the loans (high interest, accrues and compounds immediately, etc..). I make a decent living, the salary and lifestyle improvement isnt worth paying upwards of 200-500k in the foreseeable future (depending how fast i pay the loan down). Thoughts?

I would be singing an entirely different tune if I got anywhere near what some of you did in terms of scholly. Congrats to those of you who did, you guys really earned it.

For those curious, I applied in Jan right when the scores got released and I heard back mid feb.

Honestly, if you are happy with where you are at in life, why take out so much debt to go to a school in a not-so-great legal market? I think you should try to negotiate, but only if you really want to go to law school. I'm not undermining your will to attend law school or your numbers (hell, yours is MUCH better than mine and I envy you for getting into Loyola and Pepp), but if you are really satisfied with where you're at, and if the schools wont give out $$, maybe you should save your money and not bother with the crazy debt.

Of course, this is coming from someone who has no credibility as a financial adviser or whatever, so please take this as a grain of salt

Unfortunately, unlike me, there are some people who received some congrat e-mail which include ASD and financial information before get snail mail admission.
