A $120,000 Christmas present would be nice.

I hope you both get the ED.

I was going to apply, but didn't know how competitive the ED process would be, plus my heart isn't set on Boston.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't know how competitive I am given my GPA, especially since this is the first year they're doing it. But I knew there was no way I could turn down a T30 school in the Northeast offering a full ride.

December 20th is my birthday so I'd be so stoked to get that scholly as a present. Plus the headache it would save me knowing that the decision of where I'm going has been made already has no price.

Any idea whether it is status checker, email or snail mail?

From what I've read, that seems to be the way most schools make an initial acceptance. Eagerly awaiting this decision!

I believe it's a new program.

I emailed the school about this. E.D. is brand new this year, so no stats are available. Also, they weren't willing to disclose how many students they believe will be admitted through E.D. Hope that helps.

Does anyone know if status checker date updates mean anything at BU?

This may be a dumb question so forgive me....

Does BU not allow for a "Why BU" essay? I've been looking at the application and can't seem to find it, or do we just submit it in the "other addenda" section?

Thanks

I submitted the ED application on 14th, but my status is still incomplete.
It said it may take at least two weeks, so I was just waiting.

Then I submitted the app to BC "yesterday" and the status is complete "today".

WOW
BU or BC. I can't figure out which school is normal one...

Yes I think you can submit it in the other addenda section.

Yeah, BC moved much faster than BU in regards to completing the status checker. Like, shockingly fast.

Last year it was calls. At least when I got accepted (much later in the cycle in Feb.), I got a call from the dean.
