Long-time lurker, first post. Just thought I'd provide an update, fwiw.

A week and a half ago, I called BU to find out about scholly info and was told that scholarships could be awarded anytime after admittance, and not necessarily only with an acceptance package (basically, I'd have to wait it out). Towards the middle of last week, I got a phone call letting me know that I'd been selected to receive the Public Interest Scholarship and should look out for the official letter in the mail.

Rejected for the PI program today via snail mail. Contained no other scholly offer. Now I'm heartbroken.

Bummer zor, sorry to hear. You still got into some great schools though... and brooklyn w $$ could be a great option if you want to pursue PI.

Chin up!

Thanks, guys. Unfortunately the money from Brooklyn/Cardozo isn't enough to get me to attend, as their tuition is nearly $50k. I'll keep my fingers crossed about some last-minute merit schollys from BU or BC. Come on Boston, show me some love!

The consensus has been not to bug them about money just yet, right? Maybe I'll give it another week or two, and beg in person at ASW.

yeah i'd say give it some time. might be more money available once people withdraw after the deadlines.

if you get anything at BC/BU (merit, PI, or otherwise), you could also try to leverage it at brooklyn or cardozo. i've heard/seen people do this successfully with comparable schools.

good luck!

+1. Seriously, not trying to be a dick, but I applied in early October. This is absolutely ridiculous. I understand schools have a ton of applicants, but after 5 months they can at least have the decency to reject me by now. Honestly at this point I really don't even care. I've narrowed my search down to a few schools who have actually expressed interest in me, unlike your #26 ass.

3.7 167 admitted 1/5. No scholarship offer in initial admit packet. Just received a scholarship offer. Not enough. Withdrawing and retaking.

Good luck everyone.

Y don't u negotiate?
I'm only going to have one other offer, USC, and while I'm sure I could improve the offer it's not going to make much of a difference. I'm pretty sure I can score in the mid 170's on a retake (pt's suggest this) and my offers next cycle will be significantly better

Did you get the offer via snailmail, email or phone call? Also, what was it if you don't mind me asking?
