Whoa congrats!!!! Was this the "BU Alumni" scholarship, or something else? In any case, awesome news.StarLightSpectre wrote:Just got home for lunch. Being admission season, naturally I immediately go and check my mail only to find...

Re: Boston University c/o 2015 Applicants
Thanks a bunch guys. I was super excited and surprised to receive that much. Makes my decision for this cycle pretty easy.
I forgot to look at exactly what Scholarship it was.
Eaper, where are you leaning to? We seemed to apply to a lot of the same schools and received similar scholarships to a lot of places (minus my waitlist at Texas).

I haven't been following your guys' cycle at all, but I'm a 1L at BU. I just wanted to inform those of you who might have been waitlisted that it's not uncommon to get off the waitlist with a sizable merit scholarship... just so you know when putting down those deposits. I definitely regretted putting down two deposits at another school, getting off the waitlist at BU, and discovering I got a merit scholly. Definitely made me transfer.

Hey BU, your waitlist email was amateur hour at it's finest. You "hope that you will be able to invite me to attend"? Well guess what, you are able, you just didn't. So in response, I hope I'm able to invite you to go fuck yourself.
In my email to BU informing them of my decision to withdraw, I am going to request that they change my status checker back to 12/6 where it belongs.

Even though I got WL too, I am more upset for you and the rest of the 12/6 mafia.. Why didn't they end this in January or February? Why did they have to carry this on like a bad date?woodscommaL wrote:Hey BU, your waitlist email was amateur hour at it's finest. You "hope that you will be able to invite me to attend"? For those of you accepted via phone, how long did it take to get your admit package?

I think it took about 3-4 days for something to come in the mail for me. I can't recall specifically, but it would be safe to assume a business week for any delivery.emacleod wrote:For those of you accepted via phone, how long did it take to get your admit package?

2/28 Accept and just got it like 2 days ago. So I'm sure they're still giving $ and will probably give more after 1st deposit date.

Too bad I can't afford to place deposits down at more than one school. If they don't say anything before mid-April then I definitely won't be attending BU.StarLightSpectre wrote:will probably give more after 1st deposit date.

I let them know when my first deposit was due and they said they would let me know if I would receive money before that date.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
