I don't mean this to be a dick, but are your numbers boosted by winning a Nobel prize? I'm surprised you got into Emory at all, let alone with scholarship according to your stats and info.

The admissions mystery continues to amaze me.

I don't blame Georgia State for waitlisting her. Doesn't really make sense. Must know somebody at Emory or something. I graduated in three years, did an internship, I'm in the military, and have much better numbers and haven't seen anything that amazing. Sounds questionable to me.

And this comes of as "How dare anyone suggest that I may be a minority".

To suggest that someone gets into a school solely on the fact they are a minority does them an injustice.
It would offend me if I was in their position. Js.

Something Georgia State must do, if they ever plan on reaching the top 25 law schools in the nation.

High numbers does not equal successful attorneys.

Pretentious much? Graduating from Georgia Southern early is not that impressive.

In other news, I too have been waitlisted. Mercer here I come?

"the 3.7 GPA is pretty good, considering the undergrad work is in economics. Plus, maybe he/she is a URM."

To me, the statement I made sounds like a "whole package" consideration. GPA, major, and outside factors. But take it as you will.

Thanks chief! Except I checked for that. 3.7/153/nonURM isn't exactly stellar, let alone T25 with $$$ numbers. Looks to be just an average white person with a relatively good GPA and a mediocre LSAT.

Bully for her, though.

THAT didn't work out well for me, huh?

I do apologize. I am a little under the influence of sadness, considering I was really holding out for Georgia State. I do see what you meant by your statement.

lol

Yeah, that gpa is nothing special even for economics at a highly esteemed school (which it is not) and that lsat is awful. The OP is either a troll or she has a disability that inhibits her ability to take tests. A connection could probably get her in, but not with $$. Wasn't April Fools yesterday?

If it'll make you feel better, I am sure there are many posters who will trade their GSU acceptance for your Emory w/$$ one.

I was all ready to go to LSN and see the next highest accepted LSAT score at Emory be over 160 or something, but there are about 3 or 4 others on LSN with somewhat similar numbers (155 & >3.7) that got money from Emory. Interesting. It really shoots a hole in the traditional wisdom around here about applying to certain schools. Congrats to ab04825.

2 were URMs, the other had almost a 3.9.

This. Graduating early from Georgia Southern offsetting scoring in the 55% on the LSAT just seems fishy to me.
