Anybody know about when they stop sending out scholly info. I can't imagine not getting a scholly from GSU but I haven't heard anything yet so I was just curious.

I went from Complete/Ready for Review to Accepted!! I checked earlier today and was still complete (I never actually went to "in review).

Just got the email a minute ago with acceptance!

REALLY wanted UGA - was waitlisted there today, so we'll see what happens.

But yay!!

(163/3.1)

I've been lurking for a while watching the rate of movement. I went complete 3/9 and was wait listed today. I was mildly surprised considering the optimistic 100% LSN gave me.

Here are my numbers:
Highest LSAT: 159
GPA: 3.69 (3.76)

My PS and resume were kind of sloppy because my reason for applying was only to get an idea of where I currently fall in the admissions market with my current numbers before I re-take the LSAT in June (I am aiming for Alabama). I would rate my softs at about a 6 out of 10.
1)Being held and waitlisted are different, so be sure you were actually waitlisted and not just held.

2)My guess for not being accepted so far is you are applying very late in the cycle. If you had applied in November, your chances would have been better.

I was put on the wait list. They asked me to e-mail the admissions office and title the e-mail Wait List to confirm my continued interest.

You're right. March is really late. Next cycle I plan to have all my applications out by Halloween. I'll spend all summer perfecting my paperwork.
You may not want to hear this, but if you are waiting for next cycle, perhaps take the LSAT again and kill yourself studying. I am not exactly one to talk, but with your GPA and a 165, you could easily get into Georgia State, and give yourself a real good chance at UGA.

I completely agree and that is exactly what I am doing. I'm retaking in June. I bought the Blue Print book set off Ebay and am currently working through those. 165-167 is my goal.
I took the BluePrint class, but eventually bought the PowerScore Bibles instead. I prefer PowerScore because the books are separated by LG/LR/RC whereas BluePrint's are all mixed together in various books. Blueprint also had many many typos, but I took the class two years ago, so I don't know if they've updated the books.

Are there more scholarships coming out? Or was it just that single batch? :?

Thought you guys might be interested in this. Apparently GSU Law students graduate (on average) with some of the lowest debt figures. There's a list of top 10 schools that lead to the highest debt on average and top 10 that lead to the lowest.

Correction, there is a list of the top 10 lowest but the other list appears to be for all law schools.

Does anyone know if you can apply for in-state tuition after the first year? How hard is it to do so? The in-state tuition is amazing, I would hate to not be able to take advantage of it.

There are quite a few ways to do this. Poke around their website: http://www.gsu.edu/registrar/tuition_cl ... ivers.html

I'm fairly sure that most schools you can classify as in-state for 2L as well, as long as you show that you've moved to GA and "abandoned your out of state domicile" meaning, when you move, have all your stuff sent to your apartment.
Great, thanks!

Has anyone received any grants or scholarships?
I checked my financial aid and I have $0 expected family contribution and $0 self contribution and I got nothing.
Anyone in the same boat?

I received my scholarship offer (which I accepted) yesterday; it was a merit scholarship. I do not have an EFC of 0. I was given a week to accept or decline the scholarship offer so I expect they may do a second wave a week from now (a week before deposits are due)... however, that is just speculation.
