When do you plan to move? I'm not sure when is the best time to start looking or if there is one... I'm hoping for somewhere in Midtown.

It definately wouldn't kill you to actually contact them....or is that too radical of an idea?

I say start looking asap... prices are down during school year but rise sharply in May Bc families always wait until after the kids are done with the year... school summer break is always the most expensive time due to supply and demand....

Sarah- my offer still stands if you need help. Don't neglect east ATL: we rock.

Nobody wants to be the person to ask the admissions department a question for the millionth time (especially when you're hoping for scholarships). It wouldn't have killed you to answer him nicely... or is that too radical of an idea?

If you want to save some monday and are cool with public transit, look for somewhere in Druid Hills/Lindbergh/Buckhead area. They're close to a MARTA station and you can just ride that there everyday. Parking around GSU is a bitch.

Also, Midtown is very expensive. Neat area though. I work in Midtown now.

House hunting in ATL is difficult.. it took me a while to pick my place when we moved here from the burbs a few months back - but it was so worth it! There's always something going on ... I loved ATL from afar when a suburbanite but being a city dweller has so many perks... just keep searching - living in-town is the best!

But why anxious, though? I mean barring anything unheard of/ unimaginable happening in the rankings... GA state is so inexpensive- currently the best bang for your buck law school in the country... even without scholarships it's so much more affordable than so many others.. no reason to be anxious, friend.

Just spoke to admissions and they said they are "hoping" that ALS decisions will be made by the 1st of April.

Thank you! Aside from that other thing that I want more than life... I want ALS.

Locals (Ga0L especially): How crazy would I be to be near Northlake Mall area by Henderson Mill Elementary?

I found a house I like...sorta...but at least it wasn't poop on a plate in disguise.

I would have from 7:45 until first class (9am) to get there....

It's not that bad of a school http://www.psk12.com/rating/USindivphp/SchID_45108.html (for Atlanta especially) --- **I am a school snob b/c I hate public school so use that site to help you decide b/c I dog 'em all.

That's an okay area crimewise and stuff- but you will sit in traffic in the mornings and afternoons.. it's pretty far out - and you gotta think that every hour you give up in traffic is an hour away from study - you are gonna waste two hours a day...

PM me your price range and requirements if you want and I'll keep my eyes peeled - I just moved a couple months ago so I have a real good sense of what's available.

I don't have much time....and my choices are outside the perimeter everywhere.

I drove this afternoon at 4:00 and made it from campus to doorstep in 27 minutes...

Are you not from GA? If not, I can help you look since I live in ATL... But traffic, esp in my area, doesn't really begin until like 4:40 ish..

Oh, and I definitely agree with you on private vs. public....but its Kindergarten. There's no coke dealers in kindergarten...just play-doh pushers. Plus, I have a pre-k one too. I really don't want to make two stops. This school has prek as well. And the dh works in Buckhead now, so he needs a decent drive too.
