Re: W&L c/o 2015
Just got Dean Twitty's e-mail about a mailing regarding W&L's employment statistics, as well as details for 1L job searches. Granted, I've only received acceptances from 4 schools at this point, but compared to what I've experienced with other AdComms, W&L's admissions truly puts other schools to shame.

Anyone get an email about what time today's decisions are out yet? Or about when they have come out in the past?

Nothing yet, looks like last week they didn't get an e-mail until about 12 and it said decisions would be sent shortly

Hmm, depending on scholarship I will have to go visit, but getting there from Midwest is a pain.

Re: W&L c/o 2015
Speaking of employment numbers, anyone seen their 2011 stats? People keep talking about how they hired back 50% of the class, but the most recent numbers I can find are 2010 and only 10 grads are listed under "academic" there.

Waitlisted...161/3.4. I applied late so this is only the second school I've heard back from...pretty happy with the decision considering my numbers are below their median.

If you go to an ASW, you get up to $300 for a travel stipend, so hopefully that will help you get down to Lex! Unfortunately it's not the cheapest place in the world to travel to by air.mrjohnsterman wrote:Hmm, depending on scholarship I will have to go visit, but getting there from Midwest is a pain.

I was noticing that as well. Flying into Roanoke is about twice as expensive as flying into most other major airports. Is Lexington in Middle Earth or something?ashley12 wrote:If you go to an ASW, you get up to $300 for a travel stipend, so hopefully that will help you get down to Lex! Have you ever been? I'd classify it as out of the way... And when you're there check out Salernos.. they only take cash, but their chicken cheese steaks are to die forbtw384 wrote:I was noticing that as well. Can anyone point out a site with good photos of campus/community?
Also direct flights seem to be $500+ at realistic times.

No scholarship money. Unless everyone else rejects me, this school is probably off my list.

I just got my scholarship letter and got 20,000 year. I guess that amount is to be expected, but was hoping for more obviously.
