UT hasn't sent me anything. I guess it should be soon, since I received the first e-mail you are talking about some 10 days ago.ekbrown09 wrote:Yeah! They send out an email that says "UT LAW-APPLICATION RECEIVED" right after you apply and then about a week later you get an email that says "UT LAW-UT EID" and that has the information in it. In the second paragraph there should be a link that says "here" and you can access is through that.bigtexmex wrote:There's a status checker?
UT hasn't sent me anything, and I tried to check with my UT EID (went to UT for undergrad) with no success.
EDIT: WRONG INFO=\ Comes separately.the_phoenix612 wrote:In yesterday! Anybody know anything about scholly info yet?
Oh good, so there's no separate application for merit aid? I wasn't sure if I still had to complete the FAFSA. Family income kind of makes that an exercise in futility....eaper wrote:

Do the FAFSA anyway. Many law schools consider you an independent even if your family helps you out. Dont know about Texas specifically, but it wont hurt to do the FAFSA.the_phoenix612 wrote:Oh good, so there's no separate application for merit aid? Saw this and got nervous I didn't get any $ so I called the Admissions and Fin Aid offices. They said scholly letters go out 7-10 days after the acceptance packet.eaper wrote:It comes in the mail with your acceptance letter (or mine did).the_phoenix612 wrote:In yesterday! Hmm or perhaps I'm mixing up schools haha.... going to look through the thread to see if I got them mixed up. Maybe it came with another letter congratulating me. I know they called me before I got any other info (and I definitely missed that call T_T).PrincetonLaw wrote:Saw this and got nervous I didn't get any $ so I called the Admissions and Fin Aid offices. Eaper, guess you're the exception to the rule.
OK Listened to my voice mail to check, but Dean Ingram said "You should be getting an offer [scholarship] in the mail within the next few weeks," but I wouldn't worry if she didn't mention it.the_phoenix612 wrote:Yeah I got my admission packet and no mention of scholarship money. No mention in the phone call, either.
Current. At least for me. He actually mentioned it on the phone, said "We're sending your admission letter to your address in [MY HOMETOWN], is that okay?"wannagetinsomewhere wrote:Does the admissions packet get mailed to your current or permanent address?

Well I don't really have any pics, but I will say a few things about the school. The part that faces the street (dean keeton) is incredibly ugly. barely any windows. But the part that faces campus is actually nice (at least the newer building is). It's a very understated style, but very nice. I remember going on tours of other law schools and being annoyed that UT was kind of ugly. However, I found by the second week that I was so focused on school and job opportunities, that I completely forgot about the way the school looked. Your priorities drastically to change (as compared to the crap 0Ls talk about) when you're really in law school.Magnifique1908 wrote:nonprofit-prophet wrote:Congrats to everyone that got in! Can you post a few pics? Everyone keeps saying the law school is incredibly ugly lol....I want to see.....
