You should be getting an email titled "UT LAW-UT EID‏" for the status checker. It's a little different from how most schools do it since the status checker isn't through lsac (UT's is similar to the Columbia/Vanderbilt status checker system where you log in to an account on their website).

FWIW I applied on one of the first days and it took them 17 days to get me my status checker. I don't think you guys have anything to worry about yet. Maybe call them at the end of the week if you haven't heard anything.

Application sent! My numbers are pretty bad at 3.5/168, but I'm in state so I'm sending in a hail Mary.

Those numbers aren't too bad and it shouldn't be too much of a hail mary...

Mine are 166/3.5...

Last year, from the 10/25-10/29, Texas let in a lot of people - two or three dozen on LSN.

WHY NO DECISIONS ALREADY!!??!!!

Does anyone know how Texas communicated their decisions last year - email, letter, status checker?

Last year at this time people found out in-phone call held-email out-letter (based on a quick skim of last year's thread). Later on in the cycle people started finding out more from status checker.

If people don't find out by Friday, I will manage to convince myself that this is because applications are waaaayyyy down and therefore I have a chance of getting in!

LOL - I'm holding out for the October LSAT numbers before reaching a conclusion myself.

I just checked, the area code for Austin is 512 - in case your phone rings

If I don't get a phone call with the first batch I'm going to dread checking my mail.

Is it necessary to repeat information on the resume? (Education/Awards) Or is it ok to include only work-related info?

Yes, repeat the information. Whatever you do, don't write "see resume" - it makes you look like you are too lazy / don't care enough to provide the information where they want it.

I'm applying next week. One of my top choices.

Any consensus on how they deal with multiple lsat scores (beyond "holistic")? I have a 164 and a 168, so not a significant leap.

From the application FAQ on their website:

Candidates with multiple LSAT scores will be evaluated using all reported scores. However, the Law School will no longer solely consider an applicant’s average score in the admissions review process. The ABA recently revised its survey reporting requirements; all law schools are being asked to report an applicant’s highest LSAT score.

Will be flying down next week - saw it last year but want a good look and sit in on a class and get a chance to talk to a few students as well. Should be fun!

Applying to UT as well, out-of-state. Numbers are ~4.0 and 168.

I've looked on LSN and it looks like last cycle about half the out-of-staters with my numbers get an in-state tuition waiver +7k/year ($69,000 total) and the other half gets only $21,000 total. The applicants seemed to have applied around the same time and don't seem to have any other appreciable differences (both males and females and all non-URMs). Any clue as to why this would be? And if so, do you have any advice on how I can help my chances being in the first group? I'm hoping to have my apps in by Nov. 1st and meet that ED deadline.

Also, comparable schools to UT (UCLA, Vandy, Wash U, USC) gave the other applicants with similar numbers lots of scholarship money, usually $60,000+. Anyone know how lenient UT is during scholarship negotiations?

It looks like a 4.0 and a 169 typically gets you $76,000 at UT, its unfortunate that one missed LSAT question can cost you $55,000.

Just submitted my app. My numbers are 171/3.53, so I feel decently confident about getting in. Probably my 4th choice though.
