Looks like last year lots of 3.8+ with a 170 got $76,500 offers.

Now, $28,500.

:(

my theory is

The 76500 is for oos. Brings them down to in state and then an additional 28500

Can we take it that all those listing $21,000 also got in-state tuition?

Click on their profiles... it should say what state (although some mght have left that blank)

3.27/160 and 172. Texas resident. I submitted my app on Nov. 01. I've looked on LSN, but I'm curious as to what people think my chances are. Anyone?

I do not know, but I am hoping good, as you are my numbers twin. (3.23/173).

But in likelihood, no. I do not think I will get in. Texas is not kind to splitters.

But are you a URM? If so, then I'd say you are in.

Hey. Checking in. I am thinking that the 21k figure was for one year rather than three.

Just wondering if anyone has been rejected or held yet. I am hoping to be held like I was last year. UT and the other school I applied at are both big reaches for me.

Hello all - I received my acceptance call from UT today (I missed it, but they left a voicemail)! Sent 10/26, complete 10/30, numbers above both 75th percentiles. No scholarship information as of yet, but I'm definitely hoping to get some money.

UT doesn't get much love from the TLS crowd, but I'm very excited about the possibility of spending 3 years in Austin. Good luck to everyone waiting.

Applied Oct 31st and received my status checker this morning. Got to love UT, they have their own system meaning it's not the "standard" status checker that every other school I've applied to uses.

This is my current status:

Status Updates
Your JD application was processed on November 11, 2011
and is currently being considered for Early Decision

Does anyone know if those offers include in the amount in-state tuition waivers if offered?

I'm not a Texas resident. It will take a little while to get the status checker, but they returned my decision very quickly after that.

In years past, bigger scholarship figures for oos apps was just those applicants getting in-state tuition. Essentially, it may look like oos with same figures got more money, but they actually got the same price tag in the end.

Also, if you look at previous cycles on LSN, they seem to have clear points where you get systematically bumped in scholarship money. The only merit scholarship that seems to vary a little bit is The Dean's.

edit: Due to "auto-correct" feature on smart phone reading my mind incorrectly.

Thanks. I kind of thought that was the case. Bummer!

So, I guess nobody's been rejected at all yet. Last year they had done some rejections by Nov. 4th.

I would be insanely OVERJOYED if this small applicant pool can extend enough to get me in (167, 3.44)... although I know its still highly unlikely :(

I wouldn't worry about it/I'm in the same position.

Who else wishes that Texas had binding early decision. Today's mantra is- Love me back UT!
