I didn't. I basically didn't give the waitlist a second thought after everything I heard about the GPA floor (3.34 174). I wonder if all of this splitter action means they're doing more to massage their numbers to see if they can't knock down Georgetown.

Edit: In fact, I never even responded to the waitlist email. Dean Ingrahm made fun of me because I didn't know I was on the waitlist, but I just double checked and the waitlist email specifically says that you have to reply and opt-in. I got that email on February 3, by the way. How bizarre.

Thanks for the info! I think I was waitlisted around then as well. As a follow up question...did anyone get in off the waitlist who was not from Texas (i'm out of state)?

I am in shock. Utter shock.

Why are they pulling from the waitlist so early?!?!
Yay!!!! I'm so happy for you! Your posts are always so positive and I was rooting for you when you got waitlisted. Does this mean we'll be classmates??
Thanks! : )

And yes, yes it does.

When is ASW?
Congrats! There is a special ASW for UT alums on March 9th. You should ask about that asap.

My guess is no, due to the 168/3.6 threshold mentioned earlier. We'll see though. Does anyone have their admit packet yet?

People who have scholarships at peer schools can negotiate. Why didn't I apply to any of UT's peer schools?

Weird question. I withdrew from a ton of schools yesterday and almost everyone responded back asking where I was going. Do I have to tell them? I might wait until next week when I actually visit even though I'm 100% attending and will probably deposit while I'm visiting.

Emkay, there is an admitted students site, your UTEID is the password. Don't know if you remember it. But, the UT @ UT law event RSVP is not on there. It was a separate email that I'm sure you'll get. I would def. call them about it though just to be sure b/c I think the deadline to RSVP is the 1st, although you may get some extra time.

No admit packet yet here -- I'm impatiently awaiting its arrival so I can assure myself this is reality.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't breaking some sort of law school etiquette. I'm so excited to basically be done with this cycle so I figured I might as well withdraw from places I'm not attending.

I'm wondering what kind of offers I need from peer schools to negotiate for more mileage out of the standard Dean's Scholarship they offered...

The scholarship from a peer would need to exceed the cost of attendance at Texas in order to squeeze more $$ out

Also, do scholarship offers come in the admit packet? Or in a separate letter later?

I am not anticipating getting one, just curious.
