What are your stats? And when did you go complete?

My status went blank sometime today (checked this morning and it still said ready for review) and no acceptance email yet.

3.52/158.... I went complete late October.. no e-mail in regard to waitlist, just on the status checker.

Well Old Guy we will just have to wait now unfortunately. But, I am hoping are chances are good. I think DU accepted around 800 ppl. last year and only 300 matriculated. Just gotta hope/wait now. DU was what I was hoping for.

Same with me. It's not a deny so that is good news. Question is how many on the list get pulled off and where do we sit on the list? Did you do PT as well? I did but I would really prefer to stay away from that if I can.

Hey All,

I am a 2L at DU, in the middle of finals and looking for ways to delay actually having to study....so if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks! I would love to know what it's like living in Denver and what it's like around DU. Do you live in walking distance to the school? I've heard that's possible. Is the school in a big downtown area, walking distance to stuff or no? What's your favorite thing about DU? What's your least favorite thing? How do you feel about CU-Boulder and their students?

Good luck on your exams!

Thanks. How many students do you think were waitlisted and than eventually accepted in your class, or other classes at DU? Just wondering since I was waitlisted on Friday.

Let me see if I can knock out a couple of these questions:

1. I don't live near campus--however, if you have the option of doing so, I would definitely recommend it. There are some decent areas around campus and being close is a big help.

2. As far as the waitlist goes, I really have no idea. I don't know anyone who was waitlisted, then again, I am not sure that is something that most folks would readily share. What I can tell you is that there is a big push to raise the admit numbers here at the school. A few years ago, an LSAT in the high 150's was an automatic admit. This past year the average just missed hitting 160, and I am sure that is what the goal is for this year. Hang tough, call in once a month or so, and let them know that you want to come (assuming this is your first choice). Best of luck.

I don't think I answered all of your questions in my last post. No, the school is not downtown....it is just south of downtown, but on the lightrail line, so it is only a short trip. The campus is nice, but it really doesnt matter because you never leave the law school building. I really am ambivalent about CU students....I think they kind of do their own thing, and while there is some competition for jobs, I can't say that I have had any issues with them. CU's class size is only half as large as DU's, so there are far more DU alums that are members of the local bar. That being said, CU is better ranked, so if the money is the same and you 1) want to live in Boulder, and 2) can afford it (neither of those two qualifications apply to me), then definitely go to boulder.

Thanks for the answers, sounds like a great place to go to school. I'm looking forward to visiting in the coming months.

Anybody else who was waitlisted via status checker on Friday now have an ambiguous status? I was waitlisted on Friday, but now my profile doesn't say anything regarding status. Don't know if I'm in or not, or if I'm on the waitlist or not.

You are not the only one, I am in the same boat.

Got the Waitlist email today. Not very encouraging at all. Says they don't anticipate accepting many off the wait list. I think I read that that's what it has said in past years as well. I would really like to get some actual numbers on that. Anybody have any ideas?

Does anyone know if they will negotiate scholarships? I got in a couple of weeks ago with 21k a year. Denver is a safety for me but if they offer me anything close to full tuition I wouldnt think twice about making it my first choice since I love Colorado so much and want to live there after graduation. I am also EXTREMELY debt averse since I'm not interested in big law.

I would like to know this as well. I was offered 26k, but I feel like with some of the other offers I've got, it might be possible to negotiate up to 30k, or even full tuition.

Does anybody have any advice/experience with this?
