Has anyone tired to negotiate their scholarship? I sent an appeal to the financial aid office but haven't received a reply.

I just sent them an email about it a few days ago. Haven't heard back but hoping that they will send me a response soon so that I can make my decision.

Have either of you heard anything? I'm on pins and needles here. I sent a request last week, no response yet--not even an acknowledgment that they'll think about it. And they have the earliest deposit deadline!

Anyone know if they get bristly over multiple deposits? I think I'm going to have to go that route for financial aid negotiation reasons, and hope it's not against their personal policy or anything.

Waitlisted. UR 1/23, then 4/3, then a DR today.

I'm definitely going to stay on the WL and ride it out. BC is my top choice, and I wouldn't mind losing my deposit at Northeastern if it means getting in. I'm sure this has been asked a million times, so I'll go ahead and make it a million-one, but how many/when does BC usually notify those accepted off of the WL about admission.

You could always try and ask for an extension. I know some schools have done this for people, not sure about BC specifically though.

Okay so I swear I remember there was a page saying its due the 4/12, but i just checked today and it due April 30th

The website states April 30th, while the form in our admit packets and linked to from that page of the website says April 12th.

The website now says "FIRST DEPOSIT: $500 - By date on letter (Postmarked)"

So I guess that answers that.

So I just got confirmation that they got my deposit, but still no response whatsoever to either of my emails attempting to negotiate my scholarship. Should I just wait until they figure out I've double-deposited, or try to negotiate on the phone? I've heard before that calling to negotiate is a no-no. Anyone had success on the phone (or heard back from their own emails yet)?

Yes, I heard back the next day by email about a scholarship increase. Sorry you haven't had luck. I've found them pretty hit or miss myself - sometimes they get back to you asap, sometimes they make you wait three weeks. It's definitely annoying.

I'm on the WL too and they do not send you a confirmation.
