Since November for you guys?! That is ridiculous. I'm still sitting in committee since 2/2 and I'm starting to get impatient. I have seat deposits coming up for 2 schools, and I haven't heard anything at all from the bulk of the schools I've applied to. I guess you have to waste money throughout the Law School Admissions process, wasted seat deposits included

Anyways, I know the Santa Clara admissions offices arent totally vacant at this point. My roomate just heard from them on Wednesday.

At least you guys are in committee! I'm still at "Application Received - File Complete"

they are sending out notifications to people who are going to be awarded scholarships before the April 1 seat deposit. After that it will be people who are regularly accepted, waitlisted, and rejected. If you haven't been accepted by april 1, you probably are not going to be receiving a scholarship...

I got word of my acceptance via email on Wednesday. Asst Dean Leach explained that it is unusual to notify students through email, but they wanted to make sure I knew about the upcoming admitted student receptions.

Finally some movement! In by status checker yesterday (saw the deposit amounts). I was then sent an email about a reception in Sunnyvale on Tuesday, March 29th 2011. After a call to admissions they confirmed my acceptance, but unfortunately the reception was that evening, March 27th 2012 :(

I couldn't make it so hopefully they have another!

Did anyone go last night?

This little nugget of unverified information has caused me a completely unneccessary amount of stress over the past week.

And grats nsnSF!

thanks Miy!

For what it's worth, I was accepted really late in the game and received 8.5 K scholly money. So not sure about the hard April 1st deadline, but it's March 28th and I got something.

Keep the faith!

Anybody thinking about housing already? I currently live in North Beach in SF. I would love to stay in SF if possible. My thoughts so far:

1) Move to Potrero Hill / East Mission area and get a studio / 1 BR. I could commute with the 22nd and Mission Cal Train or potentially drive. I know people that do the commute everyday for work, and it's doable, I would just have to treat school like a job 9am - 6pm on campus

2) Move down the peninsula a bit, maybe to Palo Alto where there's at least some college scene / bars / restaurants etc.

3) Move down to Santa Clara. I really don't know anything about living near campus or in the South Bay. Anyone know if there's any campus scene / college town feel?

Let me know if any of these are on your mind too!

Please start cranking out some decisions Santa Clara ... can't afford to give away any 4/15 deposits.

Exactly, especially since I've been accepted to better schools. Who do they think they are Stanford?

Just had "Decision Letter Sent" show up under mailings, but still "In Committee" and no deposit amounts. Anyone have this happen?

My status was updated to In Committee earlier this week and the decision was rendered today.

I was pretty confident I got in because the deposit amounts showed up, and then I noticed the "Congratulations" at the top of the page. :D

I'm so over the wait.. wonder if I should just withdraw since I'm also applying next cycle (retaking in June..hoping for scholly $). Will I still have to let them know I applied there if I withdraw and reapply next cycle?

I recieved a $9,500 scholarship on top of my $21,000 military benefit. I am curious where we would find out if there are stipulations? The letter didn't list any.
