Should I even apply? Santa Clara is not my first choice but I am from SJ and I have family there. I wouldn't mind going. I haven't written my DS yet. What do you all think? Otherwise I will just retake the LSAT in June.

I had a 158/3.66 and got a scholarship offer with acceptance. So your lsat shouldn't limit you.

I'm just wondering how important a diversity statement is. Did anyone asian apply this cycle and did you write a DS?

My application is finally "In Committee." I wonder how long it will take to hear back from them.

Decision mailed with dates and amounts. I'm guessing this means acceptance?

Is it just me or does Santa Clara give out weak scholarships for their ranking and high COL due to where they are located?

Yes, extremely weak scholarships. They offered me $9500 a year while almost every school has offered around 30k per year and they've all been way higher ranked. Anyway, I withdrew my app last week so hopefully this frees up some money for someone that wants to attend. Good luck to all.

Status Checker says "Decision Mailed" and I now have deposit info. Does that mean the decision they mailed is a good one?

Gah! I've been in committee since 12/6 too but no decision yet. The waiting is killing me!!

In committee since 11/22/2011.. Talk about a long time, I hope it is because they cannot stop reading my personal statement :) (or because I am below medians) .. Has anyone else waited this long?

+1

I've been in review since 11/22. I'm at SCU for undergrad now so I feel like going in and asking them what's up with the wait!

I've been in committee since 11/16 called the school about it on Friday and was told that I'd probably be getting an answer in March.

Maybe thats just their style.
