Just trying to figure out when ED decisions are made and sent out. According to the Law School Decision dates for UCLA a couple years ago, ED decisions didn't start going out until the third/fourth week of November, probably after they received an influx of applications from October LSAT takers. By the time the ED decisions first go out, however, a whole boatload of RD applicants are already accepted, the obvious ones with numbers.

None of the admits so far on LSN seem to be ED, although they are all very close in numbers (around UCLA's 75th percentile). Most were also offered a decent amount of $$$. I'm assuming UCLA is focused on attracting high # applicants with money first before they start dipping into the ED pool which kind of makes sense.

my friend got a "diversity" meet-n-greet type email from a ucla law student org today, anyone else get it?

hmm.. it kinda bothered me cause i didn't get this email. my friend that got it didn't even apply to ucla. we are both mexican URM (i'm assuming they only send it to minority applicants).

Hmm..that's strange. Yah, I am a Mexican URM too and I already submitted my app to UCLA. I would have thought they just sent it to all the URM's that applied or are in the process of applying.

Hi guys. Does anyone know if it's still possible to ED at UCLA? It's okay if it's SUBMITTED by the 15th, right?

The app says the deadline is the 15th. I sure hope that is still the deadline since I plan on submitting this weekend!

I also got it despite not having yet applied.

IN via phone call from Dean Schwartz a few hours ago!!! He was really nice -- offered his congratulations and then apologized for calling on a Sunday evening! I was like, TRUST ME, it's fine. I got a merit scholarship as well! I applied RD in early October. So happy right now... !

Also got a call today, around 4 pm Pacific time. He said he was traveling during the week and wanted to get calls out before he left- was super nice. Told me letter is on the way! No mention of $$

In-state, gpa around 3.5, LSAT around 170. Non-URM. Applied early October, complete around 10/15.

Viewbook w/CD (didn't have a chance to look at it), letter from Dean Schwartz, and a UCLA magazine. Came quite a bit after I was accepted. No big though.

Nope - thought about doing one for their philosophy/law program, but didn't feel like anything I could say was meaningful. Didn't write any additional statements (no diversity, addendum) either.
