My first rejection!! I feel like I am now properly initiated into this process. Since UCLA was not the highest ranked school I applied to, I am sure the rejection e-mail (email?) will not be too lonely in my file.

Is there an online status check for UCLA? I never really got anything from them besides an e-mail saying I'd been waitlisted (164, 3.81) but if there is some kind of portal online I'd like to know in case it was useful for waitlist...

Thanks!

UCLA is one of those schools that gets swarmed by apps right?

Silence from so many schools is becoming extremely disheartening. Better than a ding, but... :(

Without a doubt.

Per the admissions reps when I visited, they received about 8,000 applications 2 cycles ago; this was one of the highest number of applications for any law school that cycle (class of 2013).

Last cycle (class of 2014), they received 7328 per their website. To put that in perspective, the neighboring USC received 5987 applications the same cycle, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor received 5422, UVA received 7410 apps, Harvard received 6364, Yale 3173, etc.

And this year, with the drop in applications, I'd estimate they will receive roughly 6,600.

I will never understand the admissions process. UCLA receives the most applications in the country, and I go from complete to admission in about 3 weeks with splitter numbers. For a school I had auto-admit numbers, it took 2 months before I even got an email. Seriously baffling.

Glad to see most of us are in the same boat.

Complete 11/19, nada since. I just want a call from the dean...

Yay! There's more of us left than I thought. I'm just glad I survived the bloodbath that was today. Every time I got an email I jumped.

I went complete on 11/29 and haven't heard it a word. It is maddening.

Anyone gone complete after sending in apps in Jan? Or know how many days/weeks it usually takes to go complete in Jan? Lack of status check... :|

I submitted early January and went complete two days later. No news since.

Hm. Wondering if I should be worried that I haven't gone complete for 10 days. Nothing's gonna solve this except a phone call.

Good luck to the rest of you guys!
