Is there anyone else out there who still hasn't received a decision?

No decision and I applied early November. UCLA is now the last school to get back to me. Part of me just wants to withdraw but I figure I've waited this long might as well have closure.

Last school for me to hear back from as well, though I've only been waiting since January. Never would've guessed UCLA would be the last school I hear from.

On the topic of waitlists, any movement? I submitted my LOCI last week. In hindsight, I should've done it a little earlier.

Since the deposit deadline was on Tuesday, there will probably be movement Friday or early next week. I think waillist folks have a good shot at getting in- the fact that UCLA placed 22% in NLJ 250 firms for 2011 and has not released employment stats might scare some people off.

If there's movement I'm not feeling it. Still on the waitlist. Anybody else?

Dean Schwartz described the waitlist process to me as "a second admissions cycle." So it makes sense that, except for a few exceptional/lucky people, we're not going to hear anything until June or July — maybe even August. My tour guide when I visited got off the waitlist a week before classes started.

In the meantime, I'm just going to keep sending a love letter every three weeks and get excited about where I'm probably actually going. Seems like anything else would be craaaaazymaking, no?

Though I'm insane at this point anyway ...

if you look at above posts, it seems a few people have been admitted off the waitlist.

I am still on the waitlist and starting to think it's a practical joke from the admissions office and they will burst out laughing when I come to my senses and withdraw.

Has anyone called/emailed admissions and requested an interview? Did it work? And does anyone know if the WL is going to move or has moved significantly?

For wait list movement, go here: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 7&t=183533.

I would advise against requesting interviews based on the wait list FAQ, which explicitly indicates that they do not grant formal interviews. Doing so may cast you in a negative light.

agreed. I was told that they do say they don't do interviews, but they reach out to interview people who they want to know more about or if they have questions about your app... so if they are interested in you, they'll come to you. if you ask for one, they will likely just get annoyed.

Yes, Thank you for the advice, I just sent a letter of continued interest instead and it is my last one. Im just going to wait for the decision what ever that may be and pay my housing option for my other school until they let me know for sure what is going to happen with the decision. Its just nerve racking!

Thank you for your responses.

Officially withdrew from the waitlist, just a moment ago...got a call from Dean Schwartz, asking for an update on my level of interest, since they are beginning to look at a few files on the WL.

He mentioned the CRS program specifically... so, not sure if they are looking at applications across the board or just those who selected that focus. Either way, pained me so much to say no. Hope one of you gets to live the dream for me out there!
