Same exact thing. Do you guys have the seat deposit and orientation fee thing? I hope that's a good sign. To my knowledge all of the dings were emails. I don't know about waitlists though. 161 3.6.

Probably a good sign. I don't think we've had any WL reports yet, and although it's getting to be that time of year, a waitlist isn't a "final decision" so I would be optimistic. Congrats.

Final Decision Reached, Notice Issued

This feels like good news. Either way, it will be nice to stop waiting on UF.

I'm currently "under initial review." How did you guys take to go from "under review" to "decision rendered"?

I think it depends on a number of factors. If your numbers are good from the start, probably less than a month. If you're on the cusp, could be months on the waitlist. I applied in december with a low LSAT and had no decision reached until yesterday. I think my better february LSAT performance pushed my app through.

I remain in NDR status, unchanged since December 1st, 2011. I'm gonna go with "they're saving the best for last."

Out of curiosity, how many of those who have been accepted had multiple LSAT scores?

I have two scores. I really don't think they average or even care about the lower score. My first score was 10 points lower and if they averaged it, I'm not sure I would have been admitted and I definitely would not have received a scholarship.

Agreed. I definitely would not have been admitted if they averaged.

I had two as well, IMO they really only care about the score they have to report for rankings purpose.

Was this anyone's second time applying to UF? I plan on applying next year so I was jw if I would get yp'd since I didn't matriculate this year. Doesn't really matter, but I'm curious.

Do you mean that the seat deposit and orientation fee changed from $0 to something?

No, it just has $0, I don't know if that was there before it said decision reached or not.

Suspense is KILLING ME! How long did it take you guys to get your letter by mail (in state)?

It's always been there for me. From past posts, looks like it takes about 6 days.

I hate to be that guy, but has anyone going to ASD April 13th asked about travel stipends? I am poor and have to take off work, and I live way down south, so I have to get a hotel, gas, etc. If I sound like a presumptuous, self-entitled little prick (which I probably do), I apologize and will promptly shut up. I'm just not sure what's fair game to ask of admissions, off-limits, etc.

pump the brakes, dude

and they will absolutely rescind your admission for having the audacity to ask for money

It's not presumptuous or self-entitled. Places that appreciate good people will compensate for travel expenses, provide scholarships, grants, fellowships, LRAPs, etc.

Other schools would pay your airfare, shuttle you to campus, and put you up in a hotel. Even Stetson would reimburse you.

Unfortunately though, I think that you have no chance of getting a dime out of UF for reimbursement.

Doesn't hurt to ask, it won't get you kicked out. But I would budget assuming that UF will charge you for lunch.

I don't think this is accurate at all. FSU voluntarilly sent out information about travel stipends for ASD to everyone, without asking. The schools understand that going out of town thursday-friday can pose a financial hardship to many applicants and while they might not be able to help, they will not rescind admission.
