Notice issued!!!! FINALLY I've been released from purgatory lol
@jaysgirl42671- I'm pretty sure it means you will be notified by snail mail. And there's really no way to know if it's a rejection or acceptance I don't think.

FINAL DECISION REACHED!!!! Finally after FRNDR since 11/14/2011... My numbers are 3.42/163 with a Master Degree and 4 years WE so I'm hoping it's an acceptance... UF is the only school Im waiting to hear from, and currently my top choice. (Which kills the Nole in me) Best part is the letter will likely arrive Friday/Saturday when I'll be in Tallahassee for ASD. What is everyone else's stats who got a decision reached? No matter what the letter says I'm just glad to be out of FRNDR.

Good Luck to everyone!

OUT OF NO DECISION REACHED PURGATORY!!!

This is the last law school I'm receiving notice from. I hope for good news, but I'm just really happy to know at this point that every law school I applied to has now officially given me their decision. Barring a couple of waitlists and one rejection, I've had a good application cycle.

Congrats to any new admits!

Seems like this is the third batch of decisions. Autoadmits were generally above both medians, early Feb admits were generally high LSAT splitters, and this crowd seems to hover near the medians.

Based on my conversation with the Dean of Admissions, my educated guess would be that the scholarship committee should probably meet later this week, with offers in mailboxes around next Monday/Tuesday. Not saying that most of this crowd should be expecting offers (probably shouldn't), just that the committee will be meeting and some applicants may recieve offers next week.

Sorry to hear about you guys who didn't get into UF. Did your status checker say anything before you got the email?

Well I would guess that anyone who is recieving a letter would be recieving an admit. UF seems to be sending dings through email, and it wouldn't make much sense to send sings via email to some and via snail mail to others IMO.

So if you've got a decision in transit but no ding email, that should be an admit.... right?

Not to sound like a needy, clingy, anxious child/girlfriend/boyfriend but to those that have received letters from UF, how long did it take to arrive after the status changed to decision mailed? When FIU admitted me, it took over a week for the letter to arrive from the time the status changed and I live within walking distance of the law school! I don't think I can survive that long waiting on this decision.

Oh how I long for the old days, when online status checkers didn't exist and you unexpectedly received letters delivered by mail carriers on horseback!

Varies. Could be a week. 164/3.5 is admit territory though so don't worry. Congrats.

So UF is sending rejections via email this year? Everytime I try to answer questions based on how UF did things last year, I'm wrong...

I would at this point- just in case this is a case of yield protection.

Letter mailed! How long does it usually take? Should we assume this is an admit? It doesn't really make sense for UFLaw to waitlist since they make everyone wait, and denials seems to come via email. Thoughts? Numbers in profile.

I would assume it is an admit since everyone else with that status has strong numbers. Your numbers are prob the lowest they have accepted so far for reference for people still waiting.

I'd love to read your LOCI but in exchange could someone read mines? It's not for Florida so dont worry. I really won't want to pay a fancy consultant.

Are you guys serious? Do you really think someone in the admissions office reads a letter of continuing interest and says to themselves, "Wow, this is an excellent letter in which the applicant tells us something we already knew since he applied here, that he wants to be admitted to our law school. This letter will definitely get him admitted." Or the contrary, "Wow, this is such a poorly written letter informing us of the obvious fact that the applicant hasn't changed his mind in the last month that I refuse to offer him admission solely because of his letter of continued interest."

Well, in the case of Justonemoregame, he has really high numbers and hasn't been admitted. So why take the risk of yield protection? If he sends an LOCI, it could show UF that he is really serious about attending.

Schools are more likely to accept students from the waitlist if they're confident they WILL attend if offered. In addition, most successful LOCI's are not stuffed with information adcoms "already knew."
