Sounds like it's some sort of diversity program...which automatically disqualifies me since I'm asian and that's technically not a URM.

And because the essay question is: Describe a challenge you've faced and how you've reacted.

The best essay-worthy challenge I can think of is "The university denied my initial proposal for a new student organization so I had to try REALLY HARD to get it approved the second time"

Which wouldn't stand a chance once someone submitted a "I got a 3.9 even though my parents are alcoholics, my siblings needed me to support them, I'm on the varsity soccer team and I did all that while working my way through college to pay for it"

I got it this morning. I'd like to believe it might help if you don't know what you're getting yourself into. I haven't responded and I don't think I will. Do you plan to? Also, it doesn't sound like much of a diversity program to me. I think everyone has had a real challenge they've faced.

I am stuck in CT and not sure if I can make it out there to visit the school and it would be cool to get a first person view of it. NBD if you can't... just would be cool for everyone itt. Thanks!!!

Ditto this! I am hopefully optimistic about getting in off the wait list and would like to see some pics.

Yeah I'm definitely going to apply and give it my best shot either way haha. I don't really have any summer plans anyway, it'd be nice to get experience early on.

Put down a deposit here and at one other school, still on the Cornell waitlist. Anyone know when we'll hear about The Webster Society? Have people heard already?

Just deposited here and going to wait until another school's deadline to deposit at another school if I don't have waitlist movement. I thought April would be slightly less stressful haha.

Waited until the last minuted, but I just declined my offer... It was such a hard decision because I really liked WUSTL. I've decided to go to USC instead... Good luck, everyone! :D

I talked to the admissions office last week and they said within the next few weeks. You will be notified whether you receive the award or not.

Deposited at WUSTL

Still waiting on USC and Northwestern...but considering how expensive COL for LA is, USC wouldn't be a viable option even if i got in..and Northwestern is def an uber-reach since i'm applying right out of undergrad.

Now just gotta wait for WUSTL to send out that roommate survey haha

Sent mine in yesterday, but still pretty 50/50 at this point. Kind of depends on a couple factors outside of my control at this point, actually, so I guess I'll kick back and wait a month.

Does anyone know when WUSTL starts admitting off the waitlist? Sent in my LOCI on Friday. I'm hoping to not have to be in waitlist purgatory for long. I'm from STL and Wash U has been my dream school. Congrats to those already admitted and good luck to all those sharing the waitlist with me!

Similar numbers last year (same LSAT, little higher GPA), my cycle indicates you should have good luck at Vandy (off waitlist) and UCLA (admitted). However, I wouldn't be expecting any cash off a waitlist. Vandy offered 5k/year, but in the broad scheme of things...that's nothing.
