No worries! The April 1st deposit is refundable for a full month! So send in your deposit and figure out in the next month if you want to go there! The idea is simply for WUSTL to get an idea of how many people are still interested, I think.

Hey, guys?

My LOCI is 1 and 1/2 pages long, double spaced. This includes a "From:" and a "To:" address heading. So, it isn't really all that long, considering.

What say you? I couldn't find anything on the WUSTL website about any LOCI standards or limitations.

Thanks.

There's no min/max on these, so as long as you're succinct and your reasons for wanting in are good, I'd say you're fine.

For those who are making decisions, it appears that WUSTL has updated their placement info on their site. Not sure when, so this may be old news.

So who all's going to the ASD on Friday? Anybody staying at the Cheshire Inn? Because I hear it has a pub.

I just emailed them. They said they typically notify people mid-April.

I'll be there..... in the bushes stalking you lucky people.

So maybe you guys and gals can all get jerseys if and when you decide to withdraw and say, "I want [iceicebaby's real name] to take my spot, coach!"? It could be like Rudy!

If I was in admissions and you did some sort of continued interest video montage using the song "Centerfield" by John Fogerty, you would be immediately accepted off the waitlist... think about it.

WELL, this is certainly better than what I was planning: video where I am dressed like a Chippendale's dancer and dancing to "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy.

For your reference, it would look something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLA3cdUt5to

Obviously in order for my metaphor to work, I am the law school applicant equivalent of Chris Farley and the judges are WUSTL Law AdComms.

I'll throw in one word of wisdom to you ASWers... come on over to the Crowder Courtyard after your fancy little reception. The Women's Law Caucus is Friday. Lot's of fun, tons of profs will be there, and most of the student body as well. Oh and free beer/wine, and probably food too.

Thanks for the info.

Looking forward to Friday, not looking forward to my drive down from Chicago tomorrow evening.

I would just like to say that if you sit in on a class, don't do Civ Pro. I see admitted students in ours every once in a while and can't help but think that no one would ever go to law school after sitting in on that class. Just by its nature it's the most boring subject I've ever taken, and you should really sit in on con law or something.

Could one of you cool, accepted people (or equally-cool current students like Romo or Kabuo) please, please take pictures of WUSTL Law when you go to ASD? I am stuck in CT and not sure if I can make it out there to visit the school and it would be cool to get a first person view of it. NBD if you can't... just would be cool for everyone itt. Thanks!!!

Anyone else get this SNR Denton summer program thing for incoming WUSTL 1L's?

Sounds like it's some sort of diversity program...which automatically disqualifies me since I'm asian and that's technically not a URM.

And because the essay question is: Describe a challenge you've faced and how you've reacted.

The best essay-worthy challenge I can think of is "The university denied my initial proposal for a new student organization so I had to try REALLY HARD to get it approved the second time"

Which wouldn't stand a chance once someone submitted a "I got a 3.9 even though my parents are alcoholics, my siblings needed me to support them, I'm on the varsity soccer team and I did all that while working my way through college to pay for it"
