Some time in March is when they start sending WLs, and there's a spike of acceptances around that point too, so I'd wait until then to really worry.

Irrelevant but I just have to say it:

people who've already gotten their admin packets, did you guys get your scholarship offers in the packets or online? (and just fmi, does wustl send small items in their envelopes like some of the other schools?)

First word on everything (acceptance and financial aid) is email.

I am glad I went early, because it pretty much solidified my choice barring any unforeseen giant full rides falling from the sky, but I wish I could be at this ASW. Seems like a lot more people who are going to end up there are going to this one rather than the first.

Have fun, enjoy the campus. Hope to see you all studying with me in that sweet ass ship room come fall.

To everyone going to the ASD this weekend:

1) Get shitty in the Moonrise for me

2) If you are there tonight, find out where bar review is and GO

I got in today. I had a 167/3.7X, so I figured I was the classic bubble student. Getting the e-mail was a tremendous relief, as I was pretty much assuming that I was going to have to wait on the waitlist.

Anyways, I was wondering about the scholarships. In particular, are their scholarships like their regular admissions (i.e. very splitter friendly) or will GPA be very important. I've gone to LSN, and it seems like the results are mixed, so I was wondering if there is another variable there (work experience, for example) that is playing a major role in the scholarship amounts. I'd love to go to Wash U, but the reality is that it probably isn't feasible without a $15,000+ per year scholarship.

I think if you've gone to LSN and sorted by LSAT/GPA and found people close to you you probably have as good an idea of what you're getting as anyone else here. They seem more or less decided by those factors.

I went and looked at the 167/3.7x range - and it seemed to be bimodal with either no scholarship or 114k on LSN. I didn't see a pattern as to who got the schollie and who didn't.

That's strange. When I looked up my numbers I was like 90% of what I'd get, and that's what I ended up with. You might want to check the profiles of people who didn't list a scholarship with your numbers. People often omit it, so I basically treated all profiles without an amount as being omitted.

NCB166 - did your acceptance email have any mention in it about scholarship/further consideration for them? I'm just wondering because mine did not, nor did someone else's that also received their acceptance yesterday...

Yes, it did. It was very nonchalant, though. It said "Based on your excellent record, the Scholarship Committee is considering your file for one of our Scholars in Law Awards" at the end of the first paragraph. I didn't even notice it until I saw people talking about it in this thread.

Mine didn't say anything about a scholarship, and I got 60K, so try not to over-think it

Hey, any sense of how generous WUSTL is with need-based aid?

I'm way to tired tonight after my 7 hour train ride here. I'd be down for drinking tomorrow to though

I'm in my room at the Moonrise now but the drive completely took it out of me and I don't want to be more dead tomorrow morning. I'm staying here tomorrow night too and would be glad to grab a drink with some people tomorrow night if people are still around.

Look forward to meeting some of you guys tomorrow!

Hey guys,

So WUSTL is really one of my top schools that I want to go to. I'm from St. Louis and love the area and would like to come back home. My stats are 164/3.42 at Northwestern undergrad. What do you think my chances are of getting admitted? I know I'm probably not in line for much in terms of scholarships but I would really like to be accepted. Right now Indiana-Bloomington is my top choice.
