This school's admissions process is a joke. Just sayin.

+1000000000000000

They take years to answer emails (kcompto never answers!!!), when they answered me they called me by a totally different name (twice!) and I'm UR since november.

When I called, the woman who answered the phone said "admissions". I was nice and said that I understood they were busy this time of year but just had a few questions about my application. Her response (she didn't say her name) was, "Last name and first name." Then I was told to hold. After about 5 minutes she got back on the phone and told me to expect a response in two to three weeks and then hung up.

Hi everyone,

Wanted to add one more decision to your pile. :)

I'm a current 1L looking to sublet my room in a 3 bedroom (the other roommates are also 1Ls and really cool guys). It is literally a 2-3 minute walk to the law school. Here is the building:
http://www.burnhamrentals.com/index.php ... nity_cd=51

My portion of the rent is $625/month. It's available as soon as you need it until August 14th, with the possibility of leasing for the school year, and can be furnished with a full-sized bed and a desk or unfurnished. Please let me know if you're interested. Email me at dqrobins@indiana.edu.

Thanks for looking and good luck,

Dareus

Me again,

I really want to find a good subletter soon, so I'm going to cover $125/month for the length of the sublease. Only $500/month for a great, big apartment (with a pool table) super close to the law school.

IU-B was easily the most disorganized admissions office I dealt with this cycle.

I thought you declined the offer a long time ago.

Wow! Jealous. What was your situation? Had you accepted yet? What was your original offer?

Still haven't heard anything about the scholly negotiation email I sent them. It's been about 2 months. I'm certainly not attending, but I figure if they can't respond to my emails I can't be bothered to let them know I've withdrawn.

I was accepted on 3/16. Haven't accepted yet, I was given past 4/1 because of the late acceptance. Original offer was 30K, they increased to 60K.

I hope this is my story. I was accepted in Feb. and sent a scholly email quickly, and perpetually bugged them about it since, so it's been a long time. Unfortunately I've already accepted (didn't want to miss my deadline) but hopefully they'll throw me a bone anyway. Are you going to accept?

I'm still struggling with that decision, I better hurry though. Time's about up for me... :(

Has anyone else still not heard? If not, and you have other seat deposits due, what are you doing? I called and emailed IU, but I'm not hopeful to hear back by Friday.

I am on total radio silence for IU. Been in review since...3/16? Something like that...

I haven't put a deposit anywhere yet. Really, I have yet to hear back from the schools I'm interested in, except a few. I was rejected at ND and WLed at Wash U. Accepted to other schools that I really don't care to go to..... I'm waiting to hear from IU, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Columbia, which is an automatic denial.

Wash U, Minnesota, Indiana, and Wisky are my top choices and I have nothing but a waitlist to show thus far.

That's better than me. I've been in review since 2/22. I called them a couple of weeks ago and asked for an estimated timetable so I could reply to other schools. They responded by saying I should receive a response over the next couple of weeks.

This sure has been a frustrating process!!

Ha, still waiting. Big shocker! This school is absurd. I applied in early Dec, was promised "expedited review," and still no word.

I applied on 4/4/2012, i NEVER got a status checker, or anything!!! just opened my email this morning and saw a miracle, considering my abysmally low LSAT & GPA, granted I have some exceptional softs, I have no idea how this happened....but i am THANKFUL!

Well, congrats! That's great. I'm just glad I haven't had my eye on this school or I would have probably torn my hair out by now. More than anything else I'm annoyed I fell for the "here's a free application and expedited review" shameless attempt to boost app numbers.

haha i feel your pain, this was not an initial contender for me mainly because i was positive i wouldnt get in but im on a poop ton of waitilist....loyola chicago, osu, minnesota, u miami, northeastern, WUSTL, Emory, W&L, Cardozo, Villanova, still waiting on 2 more dreams at Vandy and Columiba lol. but now that my 2 only 2 official acceptances are at IU-B and Pitt, IU-B is getting SERIOUS consideration.

Last year they were handing out deferral offers like candy, but that was when they over-enrolled their class. They also had a different admissions director. You will probably just have to call the school and ask, but you might need a good excuse.

Just curious, what are your softs? Are there stips on the scholarship? (I've never heard of it before)
