Hi all, I received an email today informing me I won't be admitted....yet.... but that I should receive a decision one way or the other by February 29th. I already interviewed. Is this a good sign or a bad sign? Is this the waitlist or something else and should I send a LOCI now? Thanks for your insight.

I would send a LOCI in the next week or two.
Did you receive a user name/ password prior to today's notification?

The only user name/password I have is for the status checker and I can't get a login for the ASW. No movement on the status checker front since 4 days after my interview in mid-december.

Assuming that I did in fact get into GULC (as indicated by ASW), how generous does GULC tend to with scholarships/need-based aid? I'm still ridiculously happy that I got in (assuming, of course, that I actually got in).

I think it's a safe assumption, or at least a historically informed one. I'm banking on the same assumption for myself... told my family and everything  ... just need that little wedding invitation to arrive in my mailbox...

You are in dude! Relax. In 4 days they will work. I got my username/pw for the site on like 22 Dec, and logged in on Christmas. Did you interview? My interviewer seemed to be quite in the know as to where my application was. If you are that unsure, heck, vent your concerns to her. My interviewer spoke about Andy Cornblatt like they were daily acquaintances, so apparently he keeps in contact very well with those that conduct interviews.

And the envolope took 3 weeks to get to me, so dont fret too much over not receiving it.

GULC is apparent stingy with merit scholarships, as per my perusing previous threads. Apparently, they MAY also consider peer school scholarships, but are quite selective about who their peers are. Money from UCLA or UT probably would not work, and even money from schools DNCG may not convince them. I think I even read about people with money from the MVPB range absent bargaining power. It really seems to be all about if they want you. They admit 2500 people for 550 seats, so it wouldnt appear that YP has much of an effect.

Between you and Ithinktherefoream, it feels like the CLS ED reunion

Same here; I pretty much told everyone I got in. I'd feel pretty embarrassed if I didn't get in.

Thanks, that makes me feel better.

Yeah, I did.

I'm not sure how much they liked me; my PS was pretty incoherent (I've been intensely working on my writing skills ever since, and I hope to bring them up to speed by the time I enter law school). I'm just REALLY grateful they were willing to overlook my flaws (granted I do have T6 numbers, so that probably helped). Based on previous years, they seem to be more generous with need-based aid, so that might help me out.

Hi all I haven't been around much but I was hoping I could get your insight seeing as most of you are much further along in the process than I am. I was recently invited to group interview with Dean Cornblatt at a local firm. Is it a good sign? And for anyone else who has attended one your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Updated for the first time since November today. No interview request. 3.7/168. This has to be a bad sign, right?

Who knows with all the recent speculation ?
You didn't happen to receive a user name/password for ASW by any chance?

Simply speculation, but I'd assume there will be a big round of rejections. I just don't get why they waited to reject us until now. We've been waiting since November...

question to those recieved passwords after updates in status:
how much time passed from the moment status changed and the moment you could recieve password?

Status changed in the morning and if I can remember it was a few hours later (maybe around 4pm?) until we could generate usernames/passwords

Was this 4 pm ET? I just tried to get a password after updating this morning and have nothing.

I'm pretty sure earlier in this thread some people took longer than just a few hours after an update to generate a username/password...I think it was a couple days in some instances, so today's updaters shouldn't lose hope yet. good luck!
